Pleasant to deal with, answered all my questions, had ample content to show me, and made me feel comfortable about the investment I was making in my home Installers were proffessional and courteous and installs were quick and easyI would recommend them to anyone looking at their next window project

WINDOW CONCEPTS INCof Arlington Heights- So, I was getting an estimate for a siding project, to put me in a ball park of how much it would cost to replace my siding in the futureWould you believe that after minutes he asked if someone else lives here and I said yes Paul, my fiance, he has absolutely nothing to do with paying my bills and I am the home owner He said to make appointment when both home and they can discussSaid would be TOO MUCH INFORMATION FOR ME.....are you kidding me? Well, that company I will not be using, I felt like they just insulted my intelligenceJeez, I bought my own house, I am in midst of remodeling my whole house, why am I not smart enough to pick siding There are many of us independent women out there more than capable of picking out siding and paying for it Boo to you, and for the kid that insulted me, you really need to not disrespect women and assume we are all stupid! Horrible experience!

I am sending this information through this service as a recap of the phone contact I made with window concepts today 3/12/
The phone call with window concepts owner Brian *** (phone number ending in ***) was productive and much appreciated
I had the unfortunate information to give him that I needed to cancel the contract signed The evening of Monday 3/9/at my home around 9:
I did not receive ( or could not find) a copy of the "right to cancel" paperwork otherwise I would have used that before resorting to the phone method of contact
I appreciate that Brian understood my circumstances and agreed to honor my cancellation and also stop the process of my post dated check for 3/15/in the amount of 4,
He was polite and offered other options to help me get new windows
However, I just need to cancel

I am looking to replace windows in my home and Window Concepts was a name referred to me from *** *** *** *** We had an appointment set up for the free estimate, but an hour before the appointment he called me and asked some pertinent questions However he then asked me if my husband was going to be there I told him I wasn't married and he continued to ask about who else would be 'helping me' with my decision I said that I am the sole homeowner, I am the one paying for the work and I am the one making the decision He basically said he wasn't coming out, but he'd send me an email with all the options and he'd be in touch It was clear he doesn't feel a woman is capable of making a decision on her own Needless to say they will not be considered for my project

I received a quote from Window Concepts several months ago and it was too high That is fine, but one sales agent going by the name William *** has been calling my number almost every day ever since despite being politely told we do not want to do business with them
On the call today Mr*** simply said "I love you too" and hung up the phone The numbers that he has calling me from are: at first *** (I send this one immediately to voicemail now) and, recently, ***
I am concerned that this salesperson might be psychotic, and would prefer that he not know about this complaint Please check the phone records to verify the complaint and then deal with it If you would prefer I will send you a copy of my phone records showing the repeated calls

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/01) */
Mrs. [redacted] is correct that the manufacturer went out of business and therefore rendering the warranty invalid. I told her that we would honor the warranty but its not an easy thing to get other manufacturers to make glass only for a...

window that they didn't construct in the first place. That being said, as Mrs. Patterson stated, I did tell her the glass was ready in May and we would be getting out shortly to install it. However, my carpenter never got my fax stating it was ready. He now has that information and will be calling her within a few days.
Sincerely,

Window Concepts, Inc.

Please stay away from this company.

Had a horrifying experience with the salesman who came into our home and refused to leave. He made us extremely uncomfortable and by the eleventh time we asked him to leave our home, he became rude and aggressive.

I would strongly suggest against having any type of quote or interaction with a company that handles themselves as such. It was as foul an experience as I have ever had.

Window Concepts did an awesome job with our home. They replaced and installed windows, siding, soffet, fascia, and gutters. The work was definitely a 5 star rating. The only complaint I would have would be that they need to make sure they have everything ready when they start a job. They did not have the permit from my village to do the work, so the foreman had to spend half of the first day driving around to get their insurance and registration papers so they can get the permit.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Not many companies will take on a small job, We needed only 3 windows most companies told me job was too small, some made appts and never showed, others came out to measure and never got back to us. Brian [redacted] sold us the windows. From day one he stayed in contact. When I had a question he immediately answered. When the Installers came out they were polite, professional and very neat. Highly recommend this company.

RE: [redacted]
Dear Revdex.com,
Mrs. [redacted] is correct that she received a 10 year warranty on seal failure.  However, that warranty was from [redacted] who manufactured her window.  Just like all other contractors Window...

Concepts only guaranteed the installation, which was a 5 year guarantee, not the product itself.  That responsibility is on the manufacturers of said products.  Although R[redacted] Windows was in business for almost 50 years, they fell victim to the banking dilemma and could no longer keep their doors open.  It is a very unfortunate situation to the say the least, but we can not be responsible for vendors going out of business.  If we tried to, we would risk going out of business.  As Mrs. [redacted] stated, she cannot control whether the manufacturer stays in business, but either can Window Concepts.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/09/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No I do not accept this response. It is the same run around that caused me to hang up and...

file the complaint. Why would I want the individual that created the damage and poor workmen ship to inspect his work? [redacted] is leaving out a number of pertinent facts.
1. He only offered to come out to inspect the damage and shoddy work after I hung up on him twice and told him Why would I want the individual that created the damage and poor workmen ship to inspect his work? So no he did not offer to come out he was in essence forced with complying.
2. He did indicate that he was backed up due to three weeks of rain. He did not tell me any time he would come out with [redacted] to inspect. As he still has not in his response.
3. He called me back and I let the phone go to voice mail and his message was in part.....you can file a complaint with the Revdex.com and why don't you go to 7 on your side?......
4. What is a little time to respond
In the mean time we had an insurance adjuster come out to look at the damage caused by a hail storm. The insurance adjuster came out and inspected the roof and said there was no damage to the roof and that the vents were damaged and could not be determined if was hail or installation damage. At that time the adjuster asked who had done the roof and in all the years that they have inspect roofs said "never seen one repair like this." "did they just poor a bucket of tar on the saddle and let it run down"
At the same time we had a siding contractor measuring the house for an estimate and made critical remarks about the substandard work and would require an additional amount of money to remove the siding that is tarred to the roof and need at least a bundle or 2 of shingles to replace the shingles lost in the siding removal They indicated that they also have never seen anything like the way the tar was applied .
There are 15 windows on the house all have been wrapped with aluminum when we had the windows replaced. 13 of the windows are affixed to the house with the standard small white alum nails. 2 windows that sit on the roof of the porch where the flashing was lifted up ( not replaced as promised by [redacted] the Sales Manager ) have the wrap affixed with roofing nails and caulk to cover the damage. Weather damage coincidence? Additionally the siding contractor indicated that the roofer re-nailed the flashing at different spots and did not caulk the original nail holes.
Revdex.com thank you for your assistance and review of this complaint and I still don't have a date when they will come out and inspect the damage so maybe it's time to call 7 on your side and look at legal action
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2014/09/30) */

This is not a reputable company in my view. Upon arriving to give us a quote to replace one window, the price started at an astronomical figure and then changed - downward! - several times. However, the individual giving us the quotes did not want to tell us his full name, did not want to leave a business card and would not give us a written quote. We made it clear this is NOT how we do business and that we would not be doing business with them. However, the company has continued to barrage us with phone calls - practically on a daily basis - using several different company names.

Pleasant to deal with, answered all my questions, had ample content to show me, and made me feel comfortable about the investment I was making in my home.
Installers were proffessional and courteous and installs were quick and easy. I would recommend them to anyone looking at their next window project.

Absolutely most arrogant man ever
