This is a complaint on the Customer Service of the Buckeye Arizona Utility Water DeptWe received a notice on our door today stating with urgency, we need to contact the Utility Billing office as soon as possible with no explanation marked on the tagMy Husband calls to find out what the issue isSpeaking to a customer service representative, she states, that when my Husband initially paid this months bill through their own Utilities pay center, by phone, far ahead of the payment due date, which, incidentally was TODAY, Sept 10th, the account number was entered wrong and the check had been sent backOkay, honest mistakeMy Husband immediately rectified the issue by paying the bill right then on the phoneBut this is the ridiculous part of the conversation, this clueless CS proceeds to also tell him that our water will be turned on sometime, tomorrow afternoonWhat?? Where did she get that information? I panicked and ran to check the faucetLuckily, our water had NOT been turned offOur payment was NOT late Wow, so all I can assume is that the Arizona Utilities Department's policy to turn off a customers water, immediately, late or not, with no contact, no grace period, leaving residents without any water when you live in the desert with 100+degree heatSeriously?
We were also charged $for the returned check, $over what the bank charges Well, at least for that extra $bucks, they would have had the courtesy or the consideration to contact us when the problem was noticed and not wait until the last minute with a intimidating notice on our doorWe have never defaulted on a payment, and have never been latePayment was made, Sept.10th was the due date, the payment wasn't even past due one dayMy rating is negative for the bad Customer Service, Arizona Utility Department

and I came back from days in hospital with a premature baby and found out a dollar bill!! From just one periodI try to get this fixed at anyway possible until I spoke to supervisor in vane ..she never understood we didn't used that amount , she made me paid all of itShe argued some one stole our water!???? What??
Very disappointed They take advantage cuz we need the water no matter whatI ended paying to move from the house were we got "water stolen" we don't want another surprise like thatMy question is to the supervisor: will you pay a dollar water bill??? Wouldn't you stand and say something?

I have lived in my house for over 4 years, never had a water bill over 6,000 gals. I live alone, and have no leaks or plumbing issues. In July, I got a bill for over $800.00..... a shock! I called the utility company, was informed that I had indeed used 55,000 gals of water..... I told the woman that it was impossible to which she responded that I had to pay the $800... I explained that I did not enough money to pay the bill and asked if I could make payments.... she said no. Pay it all now! I could not, so I payed what I could.... yesterday, they shut off my water. So, I borrowed money to pay the bill. Today, I called to have my water turned back on..... impossible the woman told me and then said, if I paid another $100.00 then sometime today they could turn my water back on.

They have a monopoly on water... so, they talk to you anyway they please and can charge any amount they want. Their water meters are not read by a person, but by computer and they refuse to acknowledge they may have a computer problem. In the meantime..... people are getting ripped off! There should be another company that can supply water to Buckeye residents.....

Customer has been contacted and a investigation on her meter will be done and the results will be reviewed with the customer.

I will only be happy with the company's resolution when it contains my refund of approximately $2500 for erroneous and impossible water usage charges.
