I found an advertised truck on their web site. I confirmed the truck was in stock and available through their onsite support. I drove my family to pei to buy the truck to find out it was sold. I found the same truck on site but in a different color. They stated the ad ertised price was wrong. They added on $20,000 to rhe ad advertised price.
I belive it was a ploy to bring people in.

I am rejecting this response because:I contacted their online help and heche confirmed the truck was in stock which is why I went there.

To whom this may concern;
G*** B. reached out to our online chat support and requested info about a truck. The chat support told him they would have someone contact him from the dealership regarding the details. Before anyone from the dealership had been able to reach out to the customer he came in and unfortunately the truck was already sold. The customer to my knowledge didn’t look at any other trucks that day when he was in. I reached out to him after he was gone and he found another truck on our website, I explained the price was higher than posted because we had installed accessories to the truck and the website hadn’t updated yet. The price was updated shortly after and I did let the customer know. The customer did not apply for financing so his credit was not affected. It should be noted that our website does have a disclaimer which is below:
“Prices do not include additional fees and costs of closing, including government fees and taxes, any finance charges, any dealer documentation fees, any emissions testing fees or other fees. All prices, specifications and availability subject to change without notice. The difference between MSRP and Price is because of accessories added on to certain vehicles. Contact dealer for most current information.”
We apologized to G for the confusion, it was not our intention to mislead. If we had of been contacted before he made the trip to our dealership we would have made him aware the original truck he was looking at was sold.
