We take pride in the vehicles we sell and we do not sell anything that we wouldn't drive ourselves. However, sometimes used cars have unforeseen/unknown issues that can pop up without notice, especially ones that are 13 years old. The vehicle that was sold was a 2004 Ford Explorer with...

167,301 miles on it. We include free CARFAX reports, ASC Warranties, and also encourage our customers to have them inspected by their mechanic prior to purchase. The vehicles we sell are used vehicles, not brand new. Mrs. [redacted] and her husband test drove the vehicle and inspected it prior to coming in and advising us that they were ready to purchase it. They gave us a number and we met in the middle at a price they were happy with and we included the ASC warranty. We don't sell anything that we wouldn't put our own family in. The disputed vehicle did include a 3month/3000mile ASC warranty and we encouraged Mrs. [redacted] to contactthem for the possibility of a warranty claim. The included attachments are copies of the ASC Warranty agreement as well as the signed "AS-IS" agreement through Toy Box Motors LLC.  A few days after the sale, Mrs. [redacted] contacted me and was very irate and demanding. Mrs. [redacted] stated that a friend of theirs who is supposedly a mechanic inspected the vehicle and stated that it needed $1500.00 in repairs. Mrs. [redacted] did not tell me what any of the items were that supposedly needed to be repaired and stated that if I didn't pay that she was going to "just bring the vehicle back". I advised Mrs. [redacted] that it did not work that way and she abruptly hung up on me without giving me further chance to explain her ASC warranty to her. Mrs. [redacted] left my company a review on our Facebook page stating how poor of a business we were and that is when I had the opportunity to encourage her to contact the warranty company about her claims. We hate when a customer isn't satisfied but also someone purchasing a vehicle that is 13 years old with 167k miles on it cannot expect it to be a "new" vehicle. Furthermore, once we received this Revdex.com complaint the suspected cost of repairs jumped from $1500.00 to $2100.00. Again, the vehicle was test driven and inspected by Mrs. [redacted] and her husband prior to purchase. We stand firm on our decision and previous statements in encouraging Mrs. [redacted] to speak with the ASC warranty company about her claims and to also realize that older vehicles can be unpredictable at times and we do everything within our power to make the used car purchasing experience as seamless and worry free as possible.   Thanks and have a blessed day,[redacted]Toy Box Motors LLC
