As a follow up to my previous responseMrs***s front bumper had pre existing damage prior to her daughter bringing it to Toyota of Braintree for an interior cleaning (not a carwash) back on May This is clearly noted on the vehicle inspection reportI offered to meet Mrs [redacted] on Saturday 9/and take a look at her vehicleI met with Mrs [redacted] and got to inspect her vehicleAs stated previously, the vehicle has severe paint problems on both front fenders, both passenger and drivers side doors and the hood and roofThe clear coat and paint have peeled off exposing the metal on the car to the elements and it is rustingWe looked at the front bumper and it has scratches and a inch crack towards the passengers side topThe bumper is intact, attached and not a safety hazardI advised Mrs [redacted] to invest in fixing the paint problems on the vehicle and to not worry about the small crack in the plastic bumperIf it is Mrs***s wish to fix her bumper and not address the other much more severe problems with her vehicle than that is her choice and I would be willing to make the arrangements and even discount the workI am available to discuss arrangements anytime[redacted] ext [redacted]

Mr***'s vehicle was last seen in July of and had 84,miles on itMr*** did receive a mailing for a service his vehicle may be due for based on time and approximate mileage (90,mile service) for a special of $329.00. The mailing also has information for
extending Toyotas complimentary pre paid maintenance program (Toyota Care-years or 25,miles of pre-paid Toyota recommended maintenance) on new vehiclesThe mailing states to "ask your service advisor for details" as vehicles have to meet certain criteria to qualifyMr***'s vehicle is over years old and has over miles making it ineligible to extend Toyota Care due to time and mileage (years over limit and over the mileage criteria of 31,miles by at least 60,miles)Customer was informed of this during his telephone conversation with his service advisorMr***'s $coupon is for the recommended 90,mile service that his vehicle may be due for. I have communicated this to Mr*** and will absolutely honor it

Spoke with Mrs*** last week and set an appointment to meet today 9/ Mrs***s car had an interior detail at the dealership back in MayOur check in procedure at the dealership consists of a valet doing a walk around of the vehicle with the owner and marking the existing
damage. The damage to the bumper was indicated on the vehicle inspection form and acknowledged by Mrs***s daughter who was driving the vehicleWe discussed the vehicle and the minor bumper damage today...I offered to help Mrs*** get the bumper fixed at a reduced price but found many more problems with the outside finish of her car that need attention before fixing her plastic bumperHer car is years old and had been repainted at some pointThe "new" clear coat and paint is peeling off the car exposing the underlying sheet metal to the elements and promoting rustI advised her if she plans on keeping the car to work on other parts of the metal body where the paint has peeled rather than clean up a scratched/small cracked front bumper (as the bumper is plastic and will not rust)Mrs*** is welcome to contact me if she needs any further assistance with her vehicle. [redacted] at [redacted] has spoken with Mrs. [redacted]. Apologized for her cancellation refund taking this long. Mr. [redacted] mailed out Mrs. [redacted]'s refund check for the entire purchase price.

Spoke to Mr. [redacted] and clarified his service issue. He did purchase a car from us over a year ago but has not been in for service since February. History on the vehicle indicates no complaints from Mr. [redacted] of an intermittent headlight problem. Mr. [redacted] made an...

appointment for 8/27 and we diagnosed the headlight as needing a ballast. We special ordered the ballast and will install once it arrives. I had a great conversation with Mr. [redacted] and in the future if he has a problem with his vehicle he will have direct communication with the dealership. [redacted]

Left a message for [redacted] at 9:10 Am. September 28, 2017, concerns resolving this problem with the car bumper, did not return call; I’m not playing this game.  [redacted] when you read this memo please leave a message on my phone stating when I can get this matter resolved. The mechanic quoted to replace the bumper is $300.00; willing to pay half $150.00. Problem will be resolved once message is left.

[redacted] complaint has been resolved and if you can remove the post please do.  Thank you for helping expedite the resolution.

This is clearly noted on the vehicle inspection report. I offered to meet Mrs. [redacted] on Saturday 9/23 and take a look at her vehicle. I met with Mrs. [redacted] and got to inspect her vehicle. As stated previously, the vehicle has severe paint problems on both front fenders, both passenger and drivers side doors and the hood and roof. The clear coat and paint have peeled off exposing the metal on the car to the elements and it is rusting. We looked at the front bumper and it has scratches and a 2 inch crack towards the passengers side top. The bumper is intact, attached and not a safety hazard. I advised Mrs. [redacted] to invest in fixing the paint problems on the vehicle and to not worry about the small crack in the plastic bumper. If it is Mrs. [redacted]s wish to fix her bumper and not address the other much more severe problems with her vehicle than that is her choice and I would be willing to make the arrangements and even discount the work.
