The GSM advised the consumer's  loan has been turned down due to his credit and requested he bring the car back. The customer's response was that he would try to bring it back 2 weeks from then. This was obviously unacceptable so the GSm advised the consumer he had...

24hrs to return the car or the car would be reported stolen and since our car was in Mississippi, we would contact his girlfriend’s parents’ house seeing as she was a co signer on the paperwork.  The consumer then became agreeable to returning the vehicle and came in Saurday 11/8/14 to re submit the paperwork to another lender and was approved. All terms were agreed to and signed for and the vehicle was delivered.

Review: Aug 07,2013 I brought my 2010 Toyota Tundra to this dealership Toyota of New Orleans as a trade on a new vehicle for lease. Terms of the sale included the pay off of my trade in vehicle and a $5000.00 refund of my original investment. The salesman stated that within two weeks the refund will be paid to me. However three weeks has passed and refund has not been delivered. Nor has the pay off on the 2010 Tundra has not occurred. Poor communication between the sales staff, finance department, and management. Which is causing me a new problem with my credit record.Desired Settlement: If not refund in 72 hours. The return of my original vehicle, and I will return the vehicle we made the deal on. Because Toyota of New Orleans is not honoring the original deal.

Review: This was a letter that attempted to send the their General and Regional manager.I was not able to speak with [redacted] but spoke with [redacted] about the purchase of the Nissan Titan.I'm sorry to say that the service there was less than acceptable. I requested pictures of the truck and the bed of the truck was wrecked. I was able to look pass that part due to the fact, thst the truck was for my brother and he was just going to use it for work. Everytime I called, no one could give me a straight answer. I had the check sent for the purchase and I was told that the truck was sold I tried to call and find out what was going on but no one would answer. Then my brother was told to call "[redacted]." from [redacted] and he said that it was nothing he can do about it. So I called ti speak with J.r., but he would not answer. So told my brother to head back to Baton Rouge, and ill get in contact with my bank to void the check. My bank (USAA) will need the check mail back to them. If you can please assist with this, it would very much be kind.Desired Settlement: To be held accountable for false advertising.

Revdex.com,

The Used Car Manager, [redacted], advised Mr. [redacted] and his brother of the issue. He discovered that a new salesperson, [redacted], took Mr. [redacted]'s call and quoted a price to the customer without any type of Management ok and quote. We have determined his lack of experience was at the root of the issue and he contines to go through training. Mr. [redacted] has no problem refunding USAA any monies and advised customer at the time his accounting department showed no receipt of such money. He assured them in event dealership received there would be no issue refunding.

Review: I purchased a new vehicle from Toyota of New Orleans three weeks ago, to be registered at my home in Diamondhead, MS. The State of Mississippi requires that all vehicles be registered within 10 days of purchase. This requires that the seller (Toyota of New Orleans) provide necessary documents and remit sales tax monies collected to the State of Mississippi in a timely manner in order to complete the registration to legally operate the vehicle in the State of Mississippi. As of now they have failed to do so, rendering it impossible for me to legally register my new car and legally drive it. I paid cash in full including all taxes and related fees at the time of delivery of the vehicle three weeks ago, so there is no excuse for the delay. I just get the run around from the dealership, and have been unable to drive the vehicle for fear of being arrested for illegally driving an unregistered vehicle. Not great for over $32,000 in cash. Apparently once they get your money they are in no hurry to meet their legal responsibilities to transfer tax monies and provide title to MY VEHICLE.Desired Settlement: I would like the process to be completed so I can register my vehicle and actually drive it, and to go on the public record with my utter dissatisfaction with this business so as to help other buyers beware. I have requested to hear from the General Manager, only to be told that the sales person has spoken to them on my behalf. I really would like to hear from the the top manager (outside of sales) as requested, to air my grievance with a very disfunctional process.

Response:

[redacted],

The General Manager, [redacted], is aware of the issue with Mr. [redacted]. It has since been corrected. The issue was we were waiting on the MSO to get the vehicle registered. The original dealership where we traded the vehicle in from lost the MSO and we had to have them apply for a duplicate. We have also offered to pay any late fees incurred by Mr. [redacted] as a result of the delay in getting the proper paperwork.

Review: Paint peeling on truck. From the inside outward. Clear coat is also peeling. Toyota told me tough luck. There's nothing they can do. Truck has less than 37,000 miles.Desired Settlement: Truck needs to be re painted. They gave me a estimate of 1800.00 dollars.

Response:

Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was inspected by the Service Manager and the Toyota Region rep. Goodwill was not offered as it is out of warranty by 3 years. The vehicle is a 2008 and comes with 3 year/ 36000 mile warranty on paint. Any repairs are the responsibilty of the consumer at this point.

Review: I purchased a car from Toyota of New Orleans on August 22.2015. On August 23 the check engine light came on. I had the code pulled and on the way to take the car to the dealership the car was in an accident. I didn't get the car back until last month. The check engine light is still on and the salesman is telling me the car doesn't have a warranty and he can not guarantee Toyota will repair the problem. I wasn't offered an outside warranty on the car when I purchased it and assumed because it was a big dealership the car would come with the warranty. Also, the car had not been on the lot long I was told they just got it. I had to have them change the oil on it because that also wasn't don't before the call was sold. They didn't inspect it at all and they aren't trying to pay for repairs that should have been completed before the car was sold.Desired Settlement: I just want whatever problems the car has to be repaired by the dealership like it would have been done if the car had not been sold the day they got it.

Business

Response:

AprilI have pulled the purchase file and the service file for the consumer's vehicle. I have verified a used vehicle inspection was indeed performed on the vehicle before sale. I have also verified the consumer signed and As Is document reflecting the only warranty that comes with the vehicle is that of the remaining factory warranty. The dealership is happy to assist with any requested repairs and will do so in accordance with the coverage mentioned above or the consumer is certainly able to receive service through customer pay.Should you need any additional info, please contact me at your convenience.Sincerely,[redacted]Premier Automotive Management

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10850243, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. If the vehicle had been indeed checked before it was the sold the code should have appeared. The day after the vehicle was purchased the code was pulled. Recently the code was pulled again and it is reading the same thing. The test may not been completed correctly if it was done at all. Either way the car was sold with this problem.

[redacted]I have confirmed the Used vehicle inspection was performed prior to the vehicle being sold and all repairs were performed accordingly. Should you need any additional information please contact me at your convenience.Sincerely,[redacted]Premier Automotive Management

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10850243, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. As I have stated before the car had not had an oil change before it was sold. Please provide proof the car was in fact properly inspected and serviced. Again, the code came on the day after it was purchased and was pulled the same day. This should have been found and fixed before it was sold.

Review: I am a member of USAA Banking because I am retired military. They use a car buying service that provides better rates if you use one of their dealers. Toyota of New Orleans is one of them. I called on the 17th of September around noon on my lunch hour and asked for my contact. I was told to ask for [redacted]. When I did, the receptionist said I couldn't talk to him because he was the sales manager. I needed to talk to someone in sales. They Gave me a Kid named [redacted]. I told [redacted] that I had one question. It was a yes or no question and if it was no then I would continue looking around. I asked, could I buy a Tacoma Pre-runner for 22,500.00 He said he would ask the Manager and he would call me right back. He never did. I called 24 hours later and [redacted] said I could get that deal and to set up an appointment for Saturday. I then proceeded to ask [redacted] if that included tax, title and license. Because I wasn't sure what a Tacoma cost. So he said he would ask the manager and call me back. That was yesterday. I notified USAA of these practices. The manager never once spoke to me knowing I was using USAA's car buying service and he was my contact. I consider both The Manager and [redacted] totally unprofessional. I was lied to about having a deal. I would have been happy with the truth. Something they don't practice at this dealership.Desired Settlement: Placed on the Revdex.com list of complaints and the ratings to go down.

Revdex.com,

Toyota of New Orleans apologizes for any delay is contacting Mr. [redacted] in a timely manner or otherwise. This has been addressed internally with the salesperson and the receptionist as well who did not direct the call to the Sales Manager. Additionally, the GSM, [redacted], as well as the GM, [redacted], have advised me they have contacted Mr. [redacted] and he gave the dealership an opportunity to sell him a truch. He purchased a vehicle this past week.

Review: My fiance and I bought a Toyota Camry from Toyota of New Orleans on 11/1.We chose to pay 72 months with 0% Apr.I bought the insurance for the car and singed the paperwork and drove back to Jackson MS on 11/4. The salesman,[redacted], on 11.5, told me that they could not register for the car I bought, and the bank doesn't permit the finance plan. He threaten me that if I don't drive the car back to New Orleans to redo paper work or return the car within 24 hours, otherwise he would sue me that I steal the car. I felt angry and being cheated by the dealer.Desired Settlement: I hope that they may send title and tax to Tax Collectors to Jackson, MS.Or I can register the car in NO, LA, but they cannot charge extra money.Or I return the car back, they could not charge me any money on account that I drove the car back to Jackson and come back to NO again.

Review: I have three issues with Toyota of New Orleans.1.They advertise 0% financing for 72 month on 2014 Toyota rav4, when I showed them the advertising material they blamed it on a printing typo and not honored the deal. When I push the sales person that they have to honor the deal at that point he came back to me and said that the manager can refuse to sell me a car if I kept on pushing for the 72month financing.2.I end up buying a 2014.5 Camry with 72 month financing at 0% apr, on this deal they charge me $19.00 for Doc fees and $15 for notary fees, I went back there after 2 days to trade it up to rav4, when they rewrite the contract they charge me $200.00 Doc fees and $119 for notary fees. I did not notice the change in price till the next day, now I have been calling the dealership for them to issue the credit for the difference and no one from the dealership is responding to my claim.3.The last one is the most important and it is that when I return the Camry and got a rav4, the dealer never paid off the Camry and now I am getting two notes from the bank. One note shows the original purchase of camry, which I trade in after 2 days and got a rav4. . I called the lender and they have no paper work by the dealer showing that the first purchase has been canceled or trade in. how can I make payments on two cars when I only have one car in my possession and the other car is in dealers possession.Desired Settlement: First, dealer has to settle with the lender that I only have one car and they need to fix this asap.Second they have to issues me a credit for the difference of the Doc fees and Notary fees,

The consumer also contacted Toyota Motor Sales and we have responded ot them as well. The customer purchased a Camry and then decided it was too small so asked if he could purchase a Rav4. In the interest of goodwill, the dealership backed out the first purchase and processed the purchase on the Rav4. The lender is aware the customer only has one vehicle but they needed time to process the back out and replace with the new purchase. The dealership also offered to refund $200 in fees to keep the consumer happy and he declined it.

At this point, the dealership feels it worked under goodwill with the consumer and yet customer still isnt happy. Dealer has fulfilled all necessary obligation in selling the consumer a vehicle and stands in its current position.

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10139596, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

I will start by saying that the dealerrship is lacking big time in their interanl communication. the CRM needs to collect the correct information before replying back to Revdex.com complaint, I stop by the dealership on the 18th of july and spoke to the finance manager and the sales person, after some screaming back and forth between all three of us the finance manager agrees to cut me a check of $250, which I suppose to pick up on the 25 of july, but because of the personel reason I was not able to stop by the dealership. so as I mention in my intial complain that the dealership is good at pointing fingers at other people and not take responsibilty of there own mistakes and lack of internal comunication. Also my conversation with about six different customer relation expert at Toyota Mototrs Sales in 10 days period, they all said that the dealership has not reponded back to the callls and emails.

the second issue with the intial vichel I purchased. it was clear from my name. so I will say that the issue was resolved.

also they dealership did nort honor their printed email advertisment about the lenght of the loan. what do they have to say about that. if the dealership needs the prove of that email I will be more then happy to provide it to them.

The consumer purchased a camry on a Saturday. Called us on Monday and emphatically requested we rescind the sale and put him in a Rav4. He came in the following Wednesday and in the inetrest of goodwill, we switched all the paperwork. Saturday our add said 0% for 72 months which was a mis-print, it was for 60 months only. Everyone told him that it was a mis-print from the paper. We were kind enough to rescind the sale even after the bank had processed it and all money was in house.

He is registering the vehicles in FL. So when the state was changed to FL from La the $200 Doc fee disappeared. When we did the Rav, the finance mngr manually put the DOC fee back in like it was supposed to be in the first place. And he was told that it should have been there the first time. The consumer then said that his brother who sells cars in FL told him that he has 3 days to return any vehicle sold and we must honor anything we advertise. So we should give him the 0% for 72 months, We informed him FL and La laws are different for "cooling off" periods. We did offer the 60 month term for which it was supposed to be.

Toyota of New Orleans stands in its position.

Sincerely,

[redacted]/CRM
