On October 1st I purchased a Toyota Corolla from this dealershipThe buying experience was okay, just that okayNothing spectacular at allUnfortunately, my new car was flooded downtown during the hurricaneIm fully coverage by my insurance companyAssuming that due to natural disaster my car would be totaled out and replaced due to flood damage That is until I made the horrible mistake of taking it back to this dealership to be inspected I was assigned Paul as a service managerThe car sat in the shop while my insurance company attempted to contact this department to find out the status of the repairsPaul proceeds to mark up over $in damages and decided that there was no water damage and that the whole engine needed to be replaced So they take about a month and a half to replace the engine and I go and pick up my carLess then three weeks later while in an intersection with my children in the car it decides to shut offBRAND NEW CAR WITH A BRAND NEW ENGINEI proceed to take it right back to the dealershipFor the entire ride the car would not go over MPH and the RPM's would read as if I were going Once the car reached MPH it would jerk forward and then driveWe get it to the shop and this is when PAUL decides it is due to flood damage and proceeds to tell me they left water in my headlights and that this is what was causing the car to mess upIm sorry, but, you had my car for a month, replaced the whole engine and your telling me you failed to find water in my head lights? Anyways another $claim later we pick up the car again Upon picking it up we find out the courtesy car we have been driving is actually a rentalPAUL proceeded to then charge us $for a rentalI pay the fee and take my car homeThis time it makes it a week before it starts doing the same thing again, shutting off, not accelerating, and revving upAgain, we take it back to Paul who then decides it is a diagnostics issue and wants to put another computer in itA few days pass and my husband goes to pick up the carHe tells Paul "hopefully I wont see you again before Christmas" Paul so kindly says "well if you do, you do"Guess what? THE CAR DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT HOMEIT STARTED DOING THE SAME THINGMy husband drove it back to the dealershipManagement finally realize Paul is incompetent and proceeds to tell my husband that Paul failed to tell our insurance company that the car was flooded with salt waterDue to it being parked at sea level on water street(A KNOWN FLOODED AREA)The dealership then suggests we attempt to get it totaled outNow here we are the next day and we are being told it is the transmissionDO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HEREIF THEY ASSIGN YOU PAUL AS A SERVICE MANAGERRUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTIONTHIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT WILL KNOWINGLY MARK UP WORK AND THEN PROCEED TO MAKE YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY PAY FOR ITI am filing a formal complaint with the Revdex.com as well
