Review: Took my car to this buisness to fix water pump per recommendation from [redacted] dealership (had routine maintenance that identified this issue, no other issues were identified). Two days after the water pump was fixed my check engine light came on, which has never happened before. Took the car back and he 'fixed' it. Two days after that took the car out of town and the check engine and overheating lights came on while out of town. Called the buisness who said not to worry about it and to bring it in following day (knowing car would be driven for several hours that day). On the way back into town engine failed and had to be towed to shop. Owner ([redacted]) informed me that coolant had leaked and ruined engine. He stated that the work he did on the engine was not related to this, however when I told him I would take it to [redacted] to be fixed he said that he would fix it for free. Said it would take about a week or so. Had to rent a car. Ended up taking 5 weeks to complete repairs, during which time I spent over $1000 on rental car. Car was completed on 15 December 2014. Picked car up and immediately could tell it was not driving right. About halfway home (less than a mile) check engine light went on. Went a couple more blocks and engine failed and car died in the middle of the road. Had car towed to [redacted] dealership. [redacted] dealership informed me that engine repair was not done correctly and that car needs a new engine. Cost for new engine is $4300-6400 plus tax. Per [redacted] original engine failure likely due to work done when water pump was replaced.Desired Settlement: I would like the repair shop to admit wrong doing and reimburse me for the cost of both the rental car and replacing the engine.
