Review: On June *, 2013 Cutting Edge Fence agreed to erect a privacy fence in my backyard for $390. 00 it was only for the back as the sides were already in place. [redacted] the owner came and measured the fence. I requested a privacy fence the same size as my neighbor next door. I did not receive a contract with the fence specifications (length or width) and was asked to settle in cash. When the fence was installed I noticed it was shorter (5 feet) than my neighbor's. The Slats that were put on the fence did not even reach the ground one side of the slats go up and are shorter than the rest of the fence. The fence itself should touch the ground and the slats should match, they go up on the right side. I mentioned to [redacted] that I was not satisfied with the fence as the bottom was not totally covered and animals can go under and enter my yard. He said he would take care of it and order new slats and I told him that the fence was supposed to be the same size as my neighbors and I wanted him to replace it to match what I ordered. In good faith I paid him the $390.00 thinking he was an honorable man and did not receive a receipt for the money I paid him. I called him on the following Monday to find out when he could come and correct his error as his ad states " satisfaction guaranteed" and left a message for him to call me. He did not return my call and by thursday I left another message. By Friday I was livid as I sent an email to his email address and asked him to have the decency to at least return my calls. The following Monday, I called again and left another message . It took him three days to call back and he said he told me that to order the six foot slats it takes two weeks. He did not give me a commitment date or if he did I would not have called him that Monday. He had a very bad attitude and said I told you I would take care of it but did not commit to a date to replace the fence. I finally called him last week (week three) and told him either call me back with a date to replace the fence or call me with a date to take down the fence and return my money. I have alot of patience but this man is very unprofessional by not returning phone calls. This was his mistake. My mistake was paying him when I was not satisfied with the fence. I can not even take him to court as I do not have documented proof only my neighbors as witnesses. I would never recommend him to anyone needing fencing, I would be ashamed if he did that to anyone else I knew.
