In response to said complaint: The initial call came from the customer's relative who is in the plumbing business, who was unavailable to help her The call was for an emergency oil tank leak In transferring the oil from the leaking oil tank to an oil drum (which was provided by another party), we found this drum to have a hole in it, resulting in the oil spill The assumption of gallons I believe is quite a bit We were not gone for hours, but we did in fact leave to purchase absorbent After the clean up, I did respond to the customers home numerous times over the course of days with various remedies for her complaint of fumes One of the residents in the home did state to me that they have not been smelling any fumes I did not hear from the customer until approximately to months later, when I received a rude and demanding text at am, demanding I return to the home because she can still smell the fumes Upon my return, I personally did not smell anything I did find a hole, about the size of a golf ball, in the flue pipe connected to the furnace I offered to replace the pipe, but was told NO, that this was not the cause of the fumes she is smelling I proceed to treat her concrete basement floor with cleaner over the course of a few days I am currently scheduled to seal her basement floor over the next week or so

another party), we found this drum to have a hole in it, resulting in the oil spill.  The assumption of 20 gallons I believe is quite a bit.  We were not gone for 5 hours, but we did in fact leave to purchase absorbent.  After the clean up, I did respond to the customers home numerous times over the course of 30 days with various remedies for her complaint of fumes.  One of the residents in the home did state to me that they have not been smelling any fumes.  I did not hear from the customer until approximately 3 to 4 months later, when I received a rude and demanding text at 430 am, demanding I return to the home because she can still smell the fumes.  Upon my return, I personally did not smell anything.  I did find a hole, about the size of a golf ball, in the flue pipe connected to the furnace.  I offered to replace the pipe, but was told NO, that this was not the cause of the fumes she is smelling.  I proceed to treat her concrete basement floor with cleaner over the course of a few days.  I am currently scheduled to seal her basement floor over the next week or so.
