My boyfriend hired TR [redacted] to build his house in Joplin, MO. We are moving there to help take care of his parents. I was the one that dealt directly with TR [redacted] due to the fact that my boyfriend is unreachable at his job. Before the contract was signed, [redacted]'s wife, [redacted], or his brother in law, [redacted], answered my calls right away. After the contract was signed, it was harder to reach someone. We never spoke to the owner, [redacted], himself. The contract was signed in October and the house was not started until April so we assumed that we weren't top priority until the house was started. However, even after the house was started, we had trouble contacting them. We live in Texas so could not be present often to check on things so we were hoping to be able to communicate better by phone or email. We had a neighbor friend taking pictures for us. After the first month, the work started slowing down and the costs started rising. We had trouble trying to find out why. Eventually, the contract was terminated by TR Smith. We asked why and were told that we asked too many questions and were spying on them by having someone taking pictures. I would NOT recommend this company to build your house.
