Tracy's Closet Reviews (6)

Our records indicate that you have been charged a grand total of $6.95 on our site which has been refunded, resulting in zero dollars spent at Tracy's Closet.  Tracy's closet is a place for members to exchange clothes utilizing our point system, not to sell clothes for cash.  We do not offer or allow members to cash points in.  We encourage you to use your points to acquire any goods you wish from other members on the site.  There are currently 4,000 items available with more being added every day.

Tracy's Closet is a web platform where members can buy and sell from each other using points.  This is very clear in all site messaging.  Similar to Craig's List, Tracy's Closet is a way for buyers and sellers to connect and does not and can not force sellers to act outside their wishes....

In the case where a seller fails to ship, we credit the buyer back their shipping charges and any points they spent on the item.

There is no cash involved other than shipping charges.  Ms. [redacted] spent a total of $6.95 which was refunded to her on 3/6/14.  She has also been credited all points due for posted or sold items resulting in a point balance of 42,482 points as of 4/23/14.

Review: I signed up for and purchased 50 dollars worth of points from Tracy's Closet on Sept 18th. I used those points to purchase 6 items on the site from individual sellers. I wanted those specific items otherwise I would not have purchased those points on my credit card. I received two of the items the first week of Oct. however I am still waiting on the other four. On Oct. 9th I sent a message to Tracy's Closet support team and received a response that they would be in touch with the sellers. On Oct. 10 I received this email.

Hi [redacted],Thanks for contacting us. I apologize for the delay in shipment. We received an overwhelming amount of orders recently which has caused a little bit of a shipping delay. We are working hard to get out all of the shipping kits to the sellers. You mentioned that you received 2 of your 6 purchases, can you please let me know which ones those are so I can look into the others individually. You are a valued member and we will do whatever it takes to resolve this issue for you. Rest assured you will be reimbursed for all the items that you have yet to receive. Thank you for your patience! Team Tracy.

I responded by telling them which items were missing. Then received this email back.

Hi [redacted],

The shipping kits for the purses (XO, D&B, 2Guess) were mailed out to the sellers on September 24th. They should have arrived, but we have seen that there has been a slight delay. They should be arriving soon, but just to make sure, I have contacted both the sellers to check on the status. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your patience.

Team Tracy This email was sent to me on Oct. 14th.

Since Oct. 14th I have not been contacted nor have I received the missing items or a full refund yet. I messaged them again on Nov. 5th and still have yet to have any of this resolved.

Additionally, I purchased a shipping plan that I paid for one month at 10 dollars that Tracy's Closet sent out an email to all members stating that would be fully refunded due to them changing their shipping policy's. "We will be sending you a full refund for your subscription and we have given you 5,000 points to shop. Shop FreelyTM all you want, you’ll just have to pay for shipping." I have yet to receive this refund on my credit card as well.

I have been very patient it has been almost 2 months and now I am very upset. This issue needs to be fixed right away.Desired Settlement: I want the whole entire amount spent of 60 dollars (for purchased points and shipping refunded to my credit card.) Additionally I believe that I should be entitled to one free item with free shipping for this lack of customer service and huge inconvenience to me. I will be happy though with just a full refund.

Ms. [redacted],

Review: I purchased a note with terms, and Tracy's Closet has failed to payback the note.Desired Settlement: Refund money with agreed upon interest.

Review: I have been a member of Tracy's Closet since January 22, 2014. In this short period I have had to deal with numerous corrections due to the actions of sellers and administrators. If you take a look at my profile on the site you will see that out of the four items I have sold, I have only "attempted" to purchase, once. I paid $6.95 for shipping, and nearly 6,500 points for this chevron maxi-dress from the member Street Chic. I was very excited but knew I had to be patient since the administrators take so long to send the prepaid shipping packages to the sellers (I once waited 6 days to receive a shipping package; my buyer was not happy). This was confirmed to me by several of my buyers who have been having problems with the site as well. My patience began to wane as three whole weeks went by and still no dress or a reply from the seller. I decided to contact support and received an email shortly after from a nice lady named Sonia. I'm sure Sonia had nothing to do with this matter but she tried to help me as best as she could. First message from Sonia:Hi [redacted], Thank you for contacting Tracy's Closet. I'm sorry for the delay. -There has been a recent influx in orders which caused a slight delay in shipping. The kit has already been sent to the seller so your item is on it's way.-(This whole - section was a different font and size which confirmed my suspicions that it had been used before)...Best, Sonia Team Tracy.I received another message shortly after stating that the seller no longer had the dress! This was four weeks later! Administrators refunded my points and shipping with an apology. I was very frustrated.I understand this site is still young, however, the concept of fairness is not. I had told the administrators that I was going to delete my account for the act with the dress, but decided to stay on to give them another chance. After the incident with the $300 bag and $100 dress I've just recently sold (receiving none of the points/money for them), I am now seeking punitive action.Desired Settlement: I require a compensatory amount of $739.06. The same amount in money I had spent on high-end clothing items I had sold and was not reimbursed for. Most of the items were sold as package deals due to the fact that the site would have taken vast amounts of points away from my balance for altering point values of a single item.

Review: [redacted]'s Closet sent me a check to reimburse the shipping costs ($6.95) of an item I never received. I deposited the check in my bank ([redacted]). The check bounced. I was charged a $12 bounced check fee by my bank. They refunded $6 after I complained I should not be penalized for someone else's mistake. I contacted [redacted]'s Closet to ask them why the check bounced and to seek resolution in the form of a refund and possibly pay for the bank fee incurred. They have not replied. I also confronted them via Twitter. They have not replied to the tweet either. There have been numerous complaints filed on their site's own FAQ/Support section that no one from the company has replied about. This company seems to be doing many, many things wrong that hurts and creates mistrust from it's customers.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $6.95 and possibly refund for the $6 of $12 bank fee.
