On January 12, 2017, @1200hrs I went to this business to have an appraisal done on my Toyota Sequoia The business buys vehicles and I went there to see what kind of offer they would make on mine A gentleman (I believe his name was ***) was very pleasant and conducted a very thorough examination of my vehicleHe then asked for a copy of my vehicles registration for the purpose of running it thru [redacted] and [redacted] ***We did not reach an agreement on the sales price and before I left I asked for the copy of my registration to be returned He refused saying it was his company's policy to keep the registration for insurance purposes I again asked for him to return it and he would not I am very protective of my personal information and believe keeping of my vehicle's registration was a privacy violation, not to mention an unethical business practice--if not an illegal oneI left the business without my registration
