Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Their reply has no proposed action My points are as follows:Their reply states that the sales manager worked closely with me for two weeksIt also states that they work closely with all their clients to ensure their purchase meets the needs of their lifestyleNothing could be farther from the truth in my experience with themMy wife and I met with the sales manager on July 15th, spent hours getting the order written upThat was it I told the sales manager that my wife and I intended to pump up the boat, then roll it from the parking lot, down the boat ramp and then back up the ramp after using itHe failed to mention, even though he has years in this business, that the boat would be too heavy for two year old people to do thisThe boat weighs lbs (per Achilles boat manual) plus lbs for the engine, plus lbs for the wheels, plus lbs for the external gas tank with gasTotal weight lbs There was no communication by the sales manager to try to work with me closely or to try to make sure that my purchase met my lifestyle. I paid for and picked up the boat on August 1stI emailed the sales manager on August 4th telling him that the boat was too heavy to pull and I asked him to provide me with their refund/return policyI emailed him a second time on August 5th asking him the same questionHe did not reply to that question againI called him on August 8th and asked him for their refund/return policyHe said that only the owner of the company could make those decisionsThe owner called me on August 8th He talked to me about using a trailerI emailed both the owner and the sales manager on August 11th and told them that I wanted to return the boat and asked them what the amount of the refund would beThey have not responded to these questions and have ignored me entirely since thenI feel that I was deceived when I bought the boat into believing that my wife and I could haul it from the parking lot and up and down the boat ramp In addition, I believe that the company acted both unprofessionally and unethically when they did not reply to an unsatisfied customer's numerous requests to provide their refund/return policy
Regards,

To Whom it may concern,

Response to Revdex.com ID # [redacted]

This reply is our for sales contract # ED [redacted]

As per our sales contract lower body of the invoice  it
clearly states the following:  Special Orders may not be...

refundable.

Our sales manager worked closely with the client for
two weeks, which is standard practice in this industry allowing the client plenty
to work out their decision.  We work
closely with all our clients to ensure their purchase meets the need of  their lifestyle. When all key factors were
finalized and the client was ready to move forward; We began the process of
sale which includes registering the vessel with the Department of Motor
Vehicles (once registration occurs the item is then deemed used inventory and
makes it difficult for resale). This purchase included our lightest and highest
quality roll up inflatable offered  (the
weight of the boat is 101 pounds and 59 pounds for the motor),  and a set of  the industries top rated Denard launch wheels
( load capacity of 350 pounds).

As for the performance of the vessel,  we perform a tutorial with all our clients. The
education was given by a highly qualified trained member of our staff.  As
for the ease of operation, this package is top in design, no assembly required;
the floor is integrated to the boat which simply rolls up and out in place upon
inflation.  As for the motor, like all outboard portable motors one would
have to lift this 59 pound motor into place.  Once the boat is pumped up
and the motor is on the launch wheels do the rest.  Unfortunately, One possible thing the client
may have experienced is a low tide condition, where the water level would have
been low on the ramp.  The tide goes out twice a day and may have made it
more difficult for them at the low tide.
The motor was inspected and test run at our facility
at the time of sale which is required by the manufacturer.  We do not feel
any additional attention regarding the purchase is necessary only that we wish
to assure the client the equipment is operating to factory standards.  No
cost to them will be assessed for this service as stated earlier to them. In
closing , at last time spoken to the client mention was made of a trailer
purchase which is certainly reasonable for this watercraft.  Pacific boat
trailers and Trailrite boat trailers both make this specification and are local
to the area.
