A few years ago, I opened an account with Zecco Sometime later, it was taken over by TradeKing A year or two back, I was notified by TradeKing that if I did not make any trades within X number of days, I would be charged an inactivity fee To avoid that fee, I simply purchased one additional share of stock Yesterday, I received a notice from TradeKing that a house call was being made on my account It seems I was charged a $inactivity fee without advance notification this time When I contacted TradeKing, I was told that basically each account will only receive one inactivity fee notice *per lifetime[redacted] It is up to the account holder to take action to avoid the fee, and no notice is provided before future fees are assessed As a long-term shareholder who does not trade frequently, I feel that $a year is a steep price to pay to hold stocks with this company That said, I will be closing my account with TradeKing As a warning to other traders, not only does this company charge an annual inactivity fee, but also they charge $to transfer your account out to another broker For that reason, I would not recommend doing business with this company to long-term shareholders
Had an account with *** and liked thatPulled most funds out before tradeking took over, and then tradeking hit me with inactivity fees (to be fair I did not have much of a balance left), and last I checked my account's disabled with no notifications from themWon't use them in the future

It seems I was charged a $50 inactivity fee without advance notification this time.
