Review: [redacted] of Traditional Home Builders, is the general contractor who built our condo building. Per our agreement at the closing [redacted] and the developers [redacted] and [redacted] promised to repair issues in our apartment. They have not lived up to those promises. We have tried to work with [redacted] and his son [redacted] since January 2014 to address the issues. We got a lot of promises the work would be done, but it was never carried through. These issues are: replacing incorrect color tile in our bathrooms and reimbursement for replacement of our wood floors. There were cracked tiles in our bathrooms that [redacted]'s tile contractor replaced with the wrong color tiles. [redacted] had a contractor replace the tiles in the downstairs bathroom, but has not replaced all the tiles in the upstairs bathroom. Since he could not find the matching color tile for the upstairs bathroom the entire bathroom needs to be retiled. In addition, there is touch up painting, grout touch up and cleaning that needs to be done in both bathrooms. The bathrooms were usable before [redacted] started the work; now both bathrooms are unusable. Since it was determined the entire upstairs bathroom would need to be retiled he has stopped communicating with us. Most recently we tried to reach him in November 2014. The bamboo floors [redacted] and [redacted] initially put down in the condo were scratched beyond repair when we moved in; over 60% of the boards were scratched and some had permanent stains as well as boot prints because someone walked on the floors when the polyurethane was wet. His floor contractor never returned phone calls so he said we could hire our own floor contractor and he would reimburse us. We paid $15,000 to our floor contractor for the floors and are still waiting for reimbursement. We have several email trails where [redacted] and [redacted]s employees tell us they will fix the issues and pay us for the floors. We have pictures of the affected areas too.Desired Settlement: We want reimbursement for the floors ($15,000) and either [redacted] hire someone directly to repair the bathrooms or give us $30,000 for the bathroom repairs and we will hire someone. The total amount of money we want is $45,000. We would also like an investigation into [redacted] and Traditional Home Builders. His work product is subpar and he does not have basic knowledge of construction or home repair issues.
