Poor quality build. Spent over $1000 on a grill, used it 1 time went to use it again and the thing started on fire. Didn't even have the grill for a week.

Desired Outcome

I want the entire grill replaced not just a part of it. I can't trust it not to start on fire again. Customer service was less then helpful.

My Traeger pellet smoker grill was dropped on end crushing the pellet hopper, fan and motor when delivered. Delivered 06/10/19, pro series 22, mod# TFB57PUBO-1808-Fn-00248. Unit dropped on hopper during shipping or delivery, crushing hopper bin and electronic controls. Traeger insists on sending a new hopper and requiring me to make repairs. I paid for a brand new undamaged unit and want them to pick up this wreck and deliver the the new unit I paid for. For the money they get for their grills you shouldn't have to settle for rebuilding them yourself. I will not, and no one should have to stand for this.

Pick up original unit and deliver a new, undamaged unit in its place.

After much to do, the damaged grill was picked up and a new one was properly delivered on a pallet. However it turns out the new one was also damaged. A dent/gouge on the rear skirt between the back legs. Fork lift damage? It doesn't affect the operation of the grill. I repaired it the best I could. Disappointed but it's not worth the hassle to go on.

If I could leave a 0 star rating I would leave that. I have read some of the other reviews on Traeger grills and the same thing has happened to me and my husband. Our grill caught on fire and singed his hair and they basically did not care. Their customer service is basically the worse I have ever dealt with. All we wanted was a little support or help. I will mention our smoker was just over 3 years old, but when you spend the price Traeger charges and you keep up with all the maintenance I would think they would be a little sympathetic, or at least a little nice. The people we spoke with include Casey, Danielle on the phone, Luis on email. They did nothing for us and quite frankly I should of fought harder but just gave up. This could of burnt our house down. I am so frustrated with Traeger wood pellet grills and the lack of support they offer. I am also disappointed in the people they have representing their company.

I have spent countless hours on the phone with countless reps including two supervisors. Traeger has come out with a new controller called the control pro, that claims temperature control at plus or minus 15 degrees. My take on the new control pro controller was developed because their older controllers had issues, then why have they not sent me a control pro controller. I have also have customer service reps acknowledge they have a temperature control problem especially at the 225 setting. Note their are numerous recepies at the 225 temperature which will not cook in the stated time.
