Traffic School Management Services Reviews (2)

To Whom It May Concern:

Traffic School Management Services has been in business since 2008, servicing 130,000 students. This is only the second complaint ever received. As you will see below, we feel this complaint is completely without merit.

Our staff went above and beyond...

the call of duty on multiple occasions, attempting to assist this customer.

Our reputation is impeccable, because we work very hard at making certain each and every customer/student is satisfied. Our classes/courses are second to none and our staff is kind and helpful.

Each time there is a contact with a student, a note is made in the file. This way, any of our staff can help any of our students.

As per Revdex.com complaint #[redacted], here are a summary of the notes in this student's file.

5/12/14- Student received moving violation/citation. Court date was 6/18/14. Defensive driving is to be completed at least seven days prior to court date.

6/25/14- (One week AFTER court date) student called wanting to register for defensive driving class. Student needed an extension from the Court in order to take class. Although student's court date had passed, staff at Traffic School Management Services (aka Comedy Traffic School) called the court on her behalf and obtained extension through 7/21/14 for student. Student registered to attend our live class on 7/12/14. At time of registration, student was told and was also sent a confirmation email stating students must have citation with them at class. (ARS 7-205)

7/9/14- Student paid for class online with credit card via our [redacted] system.

7/12/14- Student arrived for class without citation (which all schools are required to collect) and per Arizona State law, student was turned away. Student called our office after being turned away, and told us she would call court on Monday to request a second extension. At this point student has had 2 y2 months to complete class.

7/22/14- (ten days later) Student called with a second extension (eight additional days-7/29) she received from court. She now decided to take our online class, in order to meet the seven day prior to court date/extension date deadline. Student needed to send documents (copy of citation and Driver's License) and complete the entire 4 hour class by 11:59 pm on this day.

7/23/14-Student, already beyond second extension deadline, emailed copy of citation. She was told she needs a 3rd extension to take the class. Student did not want to call court to get new extension and requested a refund. Staff told her we would refund her original card within 48 hours. Student said that original Visa card (with which she paid just ten days earlier) had been closed. Student wanted us to refund a different card. She was told that we could only refund original card or mail her a check. Check was sent and cashed/cleared our bank on 8/11/14.

We have put many hours in attempting to help this student We document all contact to make certain we are doing everything we can to help our students. But the facts are:

•  She missed her first court date (for which we helped her obtain extension)

•  She showed up to class without citation

•  She waited another 12 days to contact us with new extension

•  She did not complete on line class by deadline

•  She (or bank) closed her credit/debit card account (so we could not send her immediate refund)

•  We worked with her for weeks, attempting to get her to complete class in time

•  We attempted refund on her now closed account

•  We, then sent her a full refund check, which she received and cashed.

Review: I was told I would have to wait 48 hours for my refund. After 72 hours I had called the company again inquiring about my refund and they said they were having issues refunding it to the card on file and they would have to mail it. I would receive it in 7 business days. I then called back 9 business days later because I had not received my refund again and I was notified by the nice young lady that nothing was done and they would have to refund me my money by check and it would take another 7 business days. this is going on 17 business days. Besides the fact, that I am an extremely hard working single mother who "needs" her money. I am extremely unhappy with being continuously misled by these people.Desired Settlement: I just want my money. I also dont want anyone else to have to go through this headache.
