This is our response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint filed with the Revdex.com regarding the work being done on his house on Rall Ave. The following is the Contract singed by Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] including the back page filled out by Mrs. [redacted] that started most of the miss trust...

exhibited by both Mr. & Mrs. [redacted].Please note that the contract called out tiled flooring in kitchen, family room & entry. We then added three more feet to kitchen to cover bar area, the office space and hall to the bedrooms. The material was changes to tong and groove wood like flooring in these areas.See attached "back page of contract," Mr. [redacted] believes that the cost of these items were included in the $88,967.00 contract price.They were not included in the contract shown above therefor they are not in the contract. However each item was addressed by us either by doing the work at no charge or a change order (Master Bath cabinet).There were six change orders written and paid for by owner. Some of the change orders added time to the project and other change orders added more costs because the owner did not want to go shopping and select or purchase the items listed in the contract as "By owner or Owner to select". Mrs. [redacted] did go to look at some items after we had done the shopping and she looked for and purchased the appliances. We shopped for tiles, flooring, granite, bath room sinks & faucets, bath tub with waste & over floor, tub shower valve & head, hall shower valve & sliding head, light fixture, bathroom accessories and cabinet door and drawer hardware. Yes we did bill twice for a bath tub but we had found the error just before Mr. [redacted] brought it to our attention. We gave him the revised change order and apologized for our mistake. It was just a mistake and we made him whole with no fuss. Why he continues to beat us up over this is just wrong.Spring & Summer are very busy times for construction. Waiting for subs can cost precious time to complete a project. Sometimes we must wait for one or more of our subs and this was the case with the [redacted] project. We had to wait for the drywall sub to finish his job and get to ours. When he was done we had to wait for the tile sub to get to us. And so forth and so on to the painter. Waiting for subs will add time to a project. The floor prepping added almost two weeks due to unforeseen time needed to remove all the thin set from the previous tiled flooring. We are sorry for the delays but in most cases it is beyond our control. But work did not stop we usually had two of our crew working at the [redacted] project.The Third time we met with Mr. [redacted] he requested that we write a document addressing his questions and concerns. Something we all could agree to and sign. We asked that he give us a list for us to answer to which he never did.We wrote our document dated May 30, 2017 (attached) so we could give it to Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] at the fourth meeting. We gave the [redacted]'s the document and Mr. [redacted] became very irritated refusing to finish reading or to sign our document. Instead he produced another document and insisted that Mike sign. (Copy attached #AA) Under great duress Mike signed the paper.We have had four meetings with the [redacted]s and the results have always been the same - Mr. [redacted] becomes irritated and none of his issues can be resolved. He will not listen to our explanations. He has said to us "it isn't about the money" and he feels the quality of our work is great. He has stated he is afraid that he will get a bogus invoice.Trafton Builders has been in business for 38 years and we  do not cheat our clients. If we did we wouldn't have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com.We want nothing more than to finish this project. It has been a beautiful project and the changes that were made turned out wonderful. We only want what we have earned and that is our final payment of $13,795.00 minus any credits due to Mr. & Mrs. [redacted].
