On March 16, 2015, Mr*** purchased a 3rd member (140043-1-Kit) from Rockridge 4Wwho purchased it from one of our dealers, ***'s Machine ShopSee ORDXXXXXX
On February 11, 2016, almost one year later, Mr*** returned the part
directly to Trail-Gear claiming there was a "hauling noise"Trail-Gear offers a one year manufacture defect warranty"Hauling noise" is not a manufacture defectRegardless, on February 11, Trail-Gear replaced the internals and R&P, and sent parts to Mr***See lNARCO
On March 11, 2016, Mr_ *** returned the repaired part claiming the same issueOur Technical Support explained to Mr*** that the gear ratio (5.29) he was running on his vehicle, and the tire sizes he was running (33") were more than likely the reason he was getting the "hauling noise"Mr*** was advised by our Technician that on highway speeds the same issue would occurOur Technician also explained to Mr*** that this would be the last time Tral-Gear would warranty the part; as he was warned that "hauling noise' is not a manufacture defectMr*** agreedTrail-Gear sent Mr*** a new part with a lower gear ratio (4.88)See WARXXXXXX
On May 2, 2016, Mr*** returned the part wanting a full refundexplained to him that Trail-Gear's policy is to inspect the partUpon inspection, our Gear Builder noticed the part had been modifiedAdditional non-Trail-Gear parts were addedSee attached pictures
I explained to Mr *** the reasons that Trail-Gear will not give him a refund1) Trail Gear never collected his money, as the part was purchased through our dealeraRefer to original order number ORXXXXXXX X) The Trail-Gear warranty does not apply to modified parts
Mr*** also contacted our dealer, Rockridge 4WD, directlyRockridge 4WD issued a credit memo to Mr***See Credit Memo number XXXXX and email_
It is clear to see that Trail-Gear, Incused timely and extensive efforts to satisfy Mr***We want to see our company rating returned to the status prior to this complaint
