I had two dogs that just didn't get along in time and I needed some help. Trail runners convinced me that I needed to send both to their training facility. It was approximately 7 weeks and $6000. They promised me they could fix the issues.
When I picked them up, they seemed very scared as if they weren't allowed to have fun or even get excited. My one pup had scabs on his body and his neck (neck was from their SHOCK COLLARS.) I listened through the training and took in everything the trainers said so I could go home and do the same so my dogs could continue what they learned. I did everything they asked and not even 3 days later, they got into a fight. A vicious fight. Had help pullung them apart. I emailed the trainers about the scabs on the neck and about the fighting and they had no sympathy and were very rude. They are a MONEY GRAB COMPANY and do not do what they say they do. If your dog needs any training DO NOT GO TO THEM PLEASE. Its years later and still bothers me!","neg-1

Trailrunners is a top notch breeding, training, and kennel business. I have personal experience in each aspect. Breeding- the Labrador retrievers from Trailrunners are all health certified, from strong bloodlines for health, drive, obedience, and betterment of the breed. Fran and Chris only let the pups go to homes that have been interviewed and they work to put the best pup in your home...whether it be due to kids, owner's age, owner experience, hunting background, hunt trial desire, etc. My first pup was a small female that was a perfect pick for my young family and pheasant and duck hunting adventures, while my second pup, three years later was a strong, long, male that has been the best goose and duck hunter I could imagine - the perfect dog for "off" time as he turns hunting switch off when it is house time.Training - Trailrunners can and did train my dog to 5 certificate levels. They are like dog whisperers! I am out of text space so will end with -top notch people. [redacted]","pos-4

I always loved dogs but was afraid of them. My husband and son wanted a hunting companion. We researched at length and with feedback from owners and the owners of Trailrunners we decided on Trailrunners due to the health of the dogs, certificates of the parents, and the fact that they could train the dogs. We quickly found that a dog is not just an addition to the family - they require leadership, and our training style was going no where good. Trailrunners not only trained our dogs, but trained our family and have been there for 6 years of support to us. We learned that the stimulation collar was not for getting angry and expecting immediate change, rather it was used on low pulse to back up the "leaders" words. We have a calm dog that is very obedient, loving, and knows her spot in our "family pack". Trailrunners training and breeding is amazing. My family cannot brag enough. Our next dog will certainly be a trained Trailrunners lab! And p.s.....I am no longer scared of dogs!","pos-3

Our Lab was 9 months when we sent her to Trailrunners for training. Sadie's worst issues were lunging/pulling when we walked her, jumping up at people, and nipping/chewing on our clothes. She was at Chris & Fran's facility for 37 days, and the training was extremely successful. Our dog is now very obedient when taken for a walk, heeling at my side on or off leash. Before training, Sadie would go wherever she wanted in the house, jumping up on couches & beds and being a nuisance under the table when we were eating. In addition to basic obedience (sit, stay, down, heel), she was trained to accept grooming such as brushing & nail trimming. The debriefing with Fran when we went to pick up our dog was very important. Fran showed us how we were letting Sadie gain points in terms of being the boss; we learned how to give commands and assume the leadership role in our "pack". We are very satisfied with our experience at Trailrunners and recommend this training facility. Lori U[redacted]","pos-2
