The student purchased a live workshop for which transfers are normally only allowed 15 days or more in advance. He did not inform us in that time frame such that we are not even obligated to honor any of his fees. However, we allowed him to transfer within a 90 day transfer period, something we are...
not obligated to do. There is a 90 day expiration for both workshop fees as well as exam fees. This student did not give notice, in any way, that he would not be able to meet those expectations. He was also asked to furnish a doctor's note stating that he was too physically ill to attend for the past several months at any time, but did not do so. His fees are no longer eligible after 120 days (a 30 day grievance period is allowed). His registration was for a July 2014 workshop. We have workshops in the southern California area every month of the year (San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, or Riverside Counties). He chose to check in with us in April of 2015, more than 9 months after his original purchase. He would normally be held to purchasing an entirely new registration for the $519 regular rate, or $419 corporate rate, but he was given a discounted rate of $299 for workshop and exam. A copy of the registration email sent to each student upon registration is attached here. As well, the policy from the website for cancellation, refunds, or transfer is attached as well.

Review: I signed up for a 2 day crash course to become a certified personal trainer with training made fun .net. First thing is, it was not fun. The cost was 349 for the class and test exam plus fees. When I called them, the class was just 3 days away. I was told I would at least need a week or two to study before taking the crash course but can take the crash course and take the exam if I was ready. If not I was told I can take the exam another time and if I needed too I can retake the crash course. I would just pay 99 dollars. I asked if there was a time frame that I would be required to take the test and was told no. So I proceeded and signed up for the class that started just 3 days later. I have been ill on and off for the last 5 years and just could not study the last 10 months. I signed up in July and now I want to take the test, so I called them back and they said I would need to pay another 299 to take the class again and to take the test for the first time. What happened to my test fees I paid last year? So I asked them and they said thier rules changed.. How can rules make my test fees I paid to nesta go away? I spoke with mark who to be honest does not seem to want to help me out.Desired Settlement: I would like them to pay for the test exam. I'll gladly pay 99 dollars to retake the crash course.
