My name is [redacted] and I am the president at Tran Floor Sanding CorpI am writing this letter in response to complaint ID: [redacted] At the beginning of Tran Floor Sanding Corp accepted a job to replace the hardwood floor in the living room, kitchen and hallway, along with sanding and finishing the bedrooms for Mr [redacted] ***When refinishing and replacing the hardwood floors in Mr ***’s house, my staff and myself did an outstanding job with the floors and at the time there was no squeaking or any part of the floor popping upAfter the job was done, Mr [redacted] contacted me complaining that there was a squeaking noise and popping condition on several areas of the floorAt that time I immediately sent my staff to assess the problem and fix any issues that Mr [redacted] may haveShortly after my staff went to Mr ***’s home to fix the problem, Mr [redacted] texted me and said that there was no longer a need for me to fix the problem and it was all setAt this time, it was my belief that the job was done to Mr ***’s satisfaction and that my staff had resolved the issue with the squeaking noiseAlthough I stand by the work of my company, I am more than willing to go back to Mr ***’s home and add additional padding to the floor in order to resolve the squeaking issue Mr [redacted] is complaining about

finishing the 3 bedrooms for Mr [redacted]. When refinishing and replacing the hardwood floors in Mr [redacted]’s house, my staff and myself did an outstanding job with the floors and at the time there was no squeaking or any part of the floor popping up. After the job was done, Mr [redacted] contacted me complaining that there was a squeaking noise and popping condition on several areas of the floor. In June 2016, Tran Floor Sanding Corp, accepted job to sand and polish the hardwood floor for Ms. [redacted]. The job started on 6/22/2016 and ended on 6/23/2016. After...

the job was done, we left a trash bag in Mr. [redacted]'s driveway. The trash contained only saw dust. There was no flammable chemicals in the bag. A few days later, I received a phone call from a gentlemen ( i'm not sure the relationship between him and Ms. [redacted]) informing me of the fire incident. I offered to come and take a look at the scene but I was assured that everything was fine and I did not need to come. The incident happened a few days after the job was done, and if no one was there, the cause of the fire is unknown. As a professional hardwood floor service provider, I am very careful and never leave any flame able chemical or items in the trash. Quality and safety are the utmost concern.  During our phone conversation, the gentleman did not mention about the bumps and sharp ridges on the floor. Until today, I did not receive any complaint directly from Ms. [redacted] about the job. Although I stand by the work of my company, I am morte than willing to go back to Ms. [redacted]'s home and resolve the issue Ms. [redacted] is complaining about.

[The phone call the Business Owner references was made by my husband, [redacted], and he identified himself as such. He also states my husband said everything was fine - which is false, I was present at the time of his final phone call after the fire and my husband left a voice message stating that we have access to the fire department report which shows there were flammable byproducts of floor refinishing products left in the plastic bags in the driveway, the same bags that caught on fire. My husband also informed the business of the ridges and bubbles in the finish of the floor. This business was unsafe, unprofessional, and did a poor job - we do not wish for them to do any more work on our home which is why we are asking for a refund of half the cost of the job. The house was not occupied at the time of the job and this business was the only company doing work on the house, the only people who left waste on the driveway and we were not present at the time of the fire because our belongings had not arrived yet - the fire department was called by our neighbors. Our neighbors also were witness to the bags being ripped apart revealing the oily rags.
