Tranquil Massage & Bodyworks

I was given a Groupon to this business by a friend for my baby shower. Once I contacted [redacted] at Tranquil Massage, she had no available weekend openings for three full months. I booked the massage anyway and waited patiently.

On the day of our appointment, I got a babysitter and was really looking forward to this massage I had been waiting for for so long. I showed up and the door was locked. No one answered when I knocked. No one answered the phone number for the business. I left a message but never got a response. Once I returned home empty handed, I sent [redacted] an email. It took her some time to reply. When she did, she said there was a death in the family and she was not able to contact me to let me know she needed to cancel, even though she had my contact information.

The experience was very negative. I asked [redacted] what we could do to resolve it. She told me to contact Groupon, which I did, but they instructed me to request a refund through their normal channels, which only would have refunded money to the woman who originally gifted me the massage. Given that, I asked [redacted] if I could give the Groupon to someone else so I wouldn't have to deal with the rigamarole. She was very rude over email and again reiterated she would not help me resolve the issue. She told me to call Groupon and ask for a refund for the gift giver. Again, not helpful to my situation.

I would not recommend that anyone patronize this business.
