Review: I went to Trans World Travel to book 3 airline tickets to Egypt and I got a quote for $1,080.00/Each, I told them I'll be back tomorrow to pay the total of $3,240.00, when I came back to pay, a lady called [redacted] book them for us. I called [redacted] HQ to confirm with them because I felt there is something wrong as they gave my parents and my mother in law three invoices and they told them that this serves as an airline ticket and the invoices stated that the total amount due is $1,150.00. not $0!! 5 minutes later after I called [redacted] HQ, [redacted] from Trans World Transportation called me saying why did you call [redacted] to confirm, you have to pay me an extra $55 and when I refused, she said I'll cancel your tickets and you'll be charged $75 for all 3 tickets to cancel them. I went to her to ask for a full refund because I didn't ask her to cancel the tickets, she said no, and she asked me to take my money less $75. I refused and called the police and I had to wait for almost two hours for the police without showing up. I left and decided to contact you to help me get my $75.00 back. and this is not the only issue, I told one of the ladies there to tell the owner that I need to talk to him and I heard him from his office screaming"we don't have time for all that, and we won't give them the $75.00 back" he also asked one of her employees to tell us don't come back here and do whatever you can and we won't give you your $75.00 back.

When I entered this place I couldn't believe that this is a US business, they gave the customer a very bad look and they don't have any sense of customer service beside all that, they're thieves!

Please help me.

Also I need you to watch this business' activity because they charge too much money for nothing. My friend booked an airline ticket with them and the last name was wrong, when he was at the airport he called and asked them to change the name, they said you have to pay $150.00 to change the name for you!!

I am rejecting this response because:First of all, the agent or anyone from trans world never tried to call us before we confirmed the reservation with [redacted] as they stated in their response and if so, why did we respond to their call this time?!! the answer is very simple, because that was the first time to call us.secondly, when my parents went to pay the money for the three tickets, [redacted] "the agent" told my mom that it might be $55 extra for your ticket, so my mom told her that we won't pay any extra, this is the price you gave us from yesterday for the three tickets and we're here today based on your quote and then my parents paid the money for all three tickets and left.These people are THIEVES , I really men it, they are thieves. After they canceled the tickets I tried to book another 3 tickets with different agent, the agent called me back saying the names still on the reservations with trans world and I couldn't book the tickets unless you cancel them first. I called [redacted] to explain the situation and the put me on hold then told me now you can book your flight anywhere else. Not only they are thieves but also they don't know how to respect people, most of employees there have no morals!

Review: I purchased a round trip plane ticket from JFK Airport in New York to Cairo International Airport in Cairo, Egypt on May 24, 2014. When I reviewed the itinerary I noticed that the plane ticket was issued with the right name but the wrong last name. I immediately contacted the travel agency and requested that a correction in the issued ticket be made. I was reassured that the correction would take placed. Several days later I received what I thought was the itinerary with the correct full name. To my surprise, no change had been made. I contacted the travel agency and asked for an explanation. Their response was that there were no need to change the last name and stated that the passenger will not encounter any problem at the airport. I knew I have given erroneous advice, so I contacted the airline carrier. They confirmed that I have been given the wrong information by the travel agency and recommended I contact them again and request that the right hyphenated last name is stated in the reservation. That was something that could easily be corrected by the travel agency without any penalties to the travel agency nor to myself as the consumer. The whole process should not take more than a couple of minutes. I made contact with the travel agency trying to solve the problem through numerous telephone calls and email communication. Due to the fact that they will continue to refuse to make the change to the reservation, I requested that the full amount I have paid for the ticket be refunded. Initially I was reassured that the full refund will be made. However to this date the agency has not complied and during our last conversation indicated that no refund will be made available.Desired Settlement: I need that the $1200.00 that I paid be fully refunded.

Review: These people are thieves they charged me $450 for tickets that supposedly I "canceled' when all I did was inquire. They said the penalty was $450 and if I wanted to buy new tickets I'd have to suck up the $450 and pay for new tickets again. I called [redacted] and the tickets where never canceled and there was no penalty the girl screamed on the phone at me when I was explaining to her that they were lying about the tickets being canceled and the guy there [redacted] was trying to get us to deposit the money for new tickets in to his PERSONAL bank account. These people are unreal and not professional, her solution for my issue was to sue them for the money back. She claimed [redacted] has no clue what they are doing and all the information they are giving me is false.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my $450 cancellation penalty. The reservation according to [redacted] has no been canceled and there was no penalty given to Transtravel.
