This is in response to complaint regarding the above ID number.Vehicle was first brought into Shop in September, 2015 for repair of the transmission. A rebuilt transmission was installed in customer vehicle. It was road-tested, checked for leaks before releasing vehicle to customer. As occasionally...

occurs, a problem developed and vehicle was returned to Shop for diagnosis and correction of problem.Customer states that technician was reluctant to give him any information regarding possible problem at hand. His reluctance stems from the fact that there are over 300 parts which make up the transmission proper and he did not want to give a premature statement until he had the opportunity to further determine the problem. When problem was resolved, vehicle was returned to the customer. As it happened, there was also a problem with the transfer case which was removed and taken apart to replace front output seal.Customer states that he paid for a repair that he did not need regarding the transfer case. I assure you that we are not in the business of making unwarranted repairs. With vehicles that have over 200,000 miles, a myriad of problems can arise.Customer states that "vehicle never shifted right". On January 11, 2016, we installed a completely different rebuilt transmission in customer vehicle, even though warranty had expired on mileage by 909 miles. Note that we had not heard anything from customer one way or the other, until notice of above complaint. Customer further states that he had to trade vehicle in because vehicle "didn't shift right". If evidence can be produced that the unit which was installed on January 11, 2016 was not working properly, further consideration could be given to this complaint; as dealer evaluates condition of all major components to establish trade-in value. At that time, it would have been noted if there was problem with the transmission. We have always striven over the years to treat our customers fairly and with respect.

Hi this is [redacted] from Transmission -- Exchange.  on the complaint I would like to say we have tried to contact this person to take care of the problem. We were going to go...

to him this morning to scan his Transmission to find out what is wrong with it. I am almost sure he did not install it correctly. I don't care about that at this point.  I have another Transmission we are building now. I can deliver it as soon as he pulls my first transmission out. We want everyone to be happy with our product. I can not get a hold of him yet, But when I do I will take care of this problem A.S.A.P!  I am sorry it happened. We try very hard to please everyone, even if it is not our fault. Maybe you can get it touch with him and have him call me  please    thanks again  [redacted]  ###-###-####

Review: I CALLED TRANSMISSION EXCHANGE I BELIEVED ON JULY 26 AND I TALKED TO [redacted] I ASKED HIM HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST ME TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION ON MY 2001 FOUR WEEL DRIVE CHEVY TAHOE. I TOLD HIM THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE REVERSE IS NOT WORKING,HE SAID "ALL THE OTHER SHIFTS WORK EXCEPT THE REVERSE IS THAT RIGHT?" I SAID YES I TOLD HIM THAT I WANTED A COMPLETE REBUILD OR IF HE COULD JUST FIX THE REVERSE PROBLEM THAT IT WOULD BE CHEAPER FOR ME. HE SAID THAT I WAS GOING TO PAY ABOUT THE SAME AMOUNT FOR EITHER ONE, THAT IT WAS WORTH TO HAVE IT REBUILD COMPLETELY FOR $950 DOLLARS WITH A SIX MONTH WARRANTY ON PARTS. HE SAID FOR ME TO PULL IT OUT AND THAT THEY WILL COME PICK IT UP. I PAID A MECHANIC TO PULL IT OUT AND THEY PICKED IT UP AND CALLED ME ON JULY 31ST AND SAID THAT MY TRANSMISSION WAS READY, I PAID THEM WITH A CREDIT CARD AND HAD THE MECHANIC I PAID TO PULL IT OUT PUT IT BACK ON MY TAHOE. ONCE IT WAS BACK ON THE REVERSE STILL DIDN'T WORK ON IT,SO I CALLED BACK AND TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS THE SAME THE REVERSE WASN'T WORKING. WELL THEY SAID TO PULL IT OUT AGAIN AND THEY WILL TAKE A LOOK AT IT AGAIN. I SAID I DON'T AGREE TO PAY AGAIN TO GET IT PULLED OUT. WHEN IT WAS THERE FAULT THAT THEY DID NOT FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. THEY SAID I'M SORRY BUT WE DON'T COVER LABOR IF THEY WOULD OF TOLD TO ME ON THE PHONE ABOUT NOT COVERING LABOR, I WOULD OF PROBABLY THOUGHT ABOUT THEM FIXING IT FOR ME BECAUSE I WASN'T GOING TO PAID OVER AND OVER TO HAVE THE MECHANIC PULL IT OUT.

Product_Or_Service: Rebuild Transmission

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

HAVE THEM PULL IT OUT,FIX IT AND PUT IT BACK ON AND FOR ME TO NOT HAVE TO PAY IT FROM MY POCKET,OR FOR THEM TO JUST REFUND MY MONEY BACK.

Review: I bought a transmission of this company with a warrenty that said if anything happens or it does not work they will fix it or replace it. I call the company after the transmission was installed and told them that it was not working properly. after 2 weeks of calling them I finally got a call back telling me that I needed to take it to a different transmission shop and pay to have it diagnosed before they would do anything. I took the transmission to another transmission shop and had it diagnosed and they said the band in the transmission is starting in 3rd gear. I called the company back and told them about the problem and they refuse to fix the issue, re-emburse my money, and/or exchange the transmission.Desired Settlement: I would like a new working transmission and/or my money back to buy a different one guaranteed to work.
