Mr ***, I wished you would have brought the vehicle back to me for further inspection, as soon as it showed foul play of a faulty clutchI stated that I would cut the labor rate in half, due to it is neither one of our faults', but I cannot put the clutch in for free, as I did not make the part, therefor I cannot front out free labor for a part that is not mineAlso, since you did not bring it back as soon as you said the vehicle was failing, I cannot prove that the vehicle was driven improperly, as in "riding a clutch out." Or AKA, not releasing the clutchVehicles are test driven twice before they leave my facility, and the vehicle was operating perfectly before it was returned to vehicle owner

I would recommend the gentlemen at Transmission Masters to any consumer needing transmission work for their vehicle because I found them to be honest, dependable, and talented with very fair prices and great communicationThanks for the fantastic service!

Hello,Thank you for your replyI understand what you're saying, but I was told that because it was only 4-months ago that the transmission was serviced, that it should have still probably been replaced back then, because it should've already shown signs of wearThe U-Joint is solid steel, there's no way, it would've just broke on me while driving, unless it was already wornNo worries on that now, I was just furious for what had happenedHowever, now I have a new issue, which will need to be addressed...when changing gears, my vehicle doesn't always register for what gear it is actually in, the transmission seems to be stickingFor example, I'll put my truck in "Drive", however it will still think I'm in neutral, or I could be driving and intermittently, my vehicle will get thrown in "Neutral", also when parked and off, when trying to start, the vehicle will not start because it still thinks it's in "Reverse"What do we do about this?
Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedTransmission Masters filed a labor claim with O'Reilly Auto Parts (the clutch kt supplier) in order to cover labor costs for installing the new clutchHowever, in regards to the claims of driver error, the vehicle was driven two years prior to repairs without ever experiencing bearing issues; the vehicle had a clutch replacement during the span of clutch fatigue (- 100K miles)

To our understanding, said customer was supposed to bring vehicle to us in late Feb/Early March, customer called with the complaints of er "rear main seal" on MOTOR was leaking, and said we should have replaced that when we replaced her transmissionWhen we replaced her transmission(the date of
original repair), we suggested her put a rear main seal in it due to the excessive amount of oil leakage, but it would be a slight additional charge, because there's still a little more labor to replace the rear main, considering it is on the motor and the cost of the sealCustomer DENIED repair and did not authorize us to do any further repairs besides the transmissionWe told the customer when she called about warranty work- if it was anything to do with the rear main seal, we would not warranty it, considering that has nothing to do with the transmission and under the given circumstances, she did not want to originally do that repairCustomer never mentioned anything about vehicle not starting, the only complaint was the vehicle smelt like burning oil(which is possibly from rear main seal) and she did not want to drive it due to the smell and the smoke(the leaking oil burning from the heat of the vehicle would cause smoke)Customer said the dealer diagnosed it as rear main sealIf anything was wrong with the vehicle's starter or if the starter wire was pinched in the process, the vehicle would not have started when we released the vehicle to said customerVehicle was running and drove off of our parking lotHave not spoke to customer since after claiming she was gonna bring it to have us look at it

MrSixtos, We to regret to hear you had a mechanical breakdown on your tripThe part in question, (Universal Joint) on the Drive Shaft checked out to be in good working condition when we worked on the Vehicle, months beforeThis is an item that could have checked good a week before and still
failedI am sure the Mechanic who performed the work for you only heard, "I just had the Transmission worked on", not knowing it was months before this problem occurredWe take Pride in our Work and Strive to Perform Quality repairs and alert our Customers of any problems that may or may not occur in the FutureHowever it is impossible to foresee this type of problem would occur. We will not be able to assist you with any expenses related to this repair, as it was not caused by us, or known to us that Months later you would have this problem. Since you Universal Joints were not replaced by us, they have no Warranty with Transmission Masters. We wish you Well. Transmission Masters
