Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the transmission shop promised to install my new engine for 1000$ laborThey said it would take two days Two weeks later they could not get the truck to run for a minuteBrian said they dont get into electrical, but they have a responsibility to install the engine with the original ground wires to the place they belong Due to their mistake on putting the ground wire back in its place, after installing new engine, the computer gave a code They called and told me I needed a new PCM, it would be 507$ and programming at the dealer would be an additional 125$ plus their installation fee for this little black box with a couple connectors that plug in in minutes, for another 110$ Sincerely, [redacted]

I HAVE ATTACHED THE INVOICE FOR ***, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THE LABOR TO INSTALL THE ENGINE IS AND SOME CHANGEWE ALSO GAVE HIM A DISCOUNT AS SEEN ON THE INVOICE THAT WE BRING THE LABOR DOWN TOO JUST FIVE DOLLARS OVER THE *** STATES WE QUOTED HIMALL OTHER CHARGES ARE FOR THE PARTS TO GET HIM ENGINE RUNNINGPLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO OTHER LABOR CHARGES FOR SWAPPING OR REPLACING PARTS ON THE NEW ENGINE *** IS ALSO COMPLAINING ABOUT IT TAKING TO LON TO HAVE THE ENGINE INSTALLED AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE INVOICE HE BROUGHT US THE VEHICLE ON 12-4-AT 5:24PM WHICH IS A FRIDAY AND WE ARE CLOSED ON THE WEEKENDS ( HE WAS AWARE OF THIS BEFORE HAND )WE DID NOT RECEIVE HIS ENGINE UNTIL 12-8-AT 4:30PMNO WORK WAS STARTED UNTIL WED 12-9-ALL CHARGES ARE FAIR AND ALL WORK WAS PERFORMED WAS DONE SO CORRECTLYAS STATED BEFORE WE ADDED ADDITIONAL GROUND TO THE ENGINE DIRECTLY FROM THE BATTERY WITH NO DIFFERENT RESULTS AS WHY WE ADVISED *** TO THE ELECTRICAL SHOP TO HAVE THEM DO A WORK UP ON THE VEHICLETHEREFORE ALL MONEYS PAID ARE FAIR AND NO REFUNDS ARE DUE

I tried to type a reply to the response from the business concerning my complaint
 about the shops failed attempt to install a new engine in my Chevy tahoe.
I will attach the bill and the explanation as to why the engine install failed.
the transmission shop is responsible for making a mistake in re-installing the ground
wire to the proper and original location. That would be expected for the agreed labor
fee, reconnect the wires to the engine, in reverse order of how they disconected them.
The service writer states they hooked a wire from the battery.....that is backyard .....that
is not proper and does not dismiss if you had put the ground wire to the block, as it was
there would be no code to the pcm, no need for a new electrical part (the orignal one is still
working fine) no need to send to dealer, no need to tow to Midland and have them charge 
another 838$ to put the wire back where it should be.
The service writer said, we dont get into electrical!    but that was your responsiblilty to install
the engine, put it in and it should run, and work, not just turn over and die....
in the process of all the probing, and fiddling with the electrical harness they kiled my battery
I had to replace the next day, and the smell of burning wires,,,the alternator which was so hot
the day I got it home.  
this shop completely failed to install the engine. they ran the bill up to 3000 with a new PCM 
838$ at electrical specialist shop, 124$ at dealer for programming and they charged another
110$  for installing the pcm. 
Attached is a scanned copy of bill and explanation from electrical shop as to what the trans
shop failed to do.  Also...the transmission they rebuilt for me 2 years ago on my other vehicle, dodge
just gave out after only 20000 miles. This shop is horrible.

THE ESTIMATE [redacted] WAS GIVING WAS FOR LABOR ONLY, [redacted] SUPPLIED A REBUILT ENGINE THAT NEEDED PARTS TO MAKE THE ENGINE RUN. AS FAR AS THE MODULE [redacted] HAS REFERENCED THERE WAS A CODE P0606 CONTROL MODULE INTERNAL PERFORMANCE. FOLLOWING REPAIR PROCEDURE IT STATES TO REPLACE THE CONTROL MODULE. WE EXPRESSED...

TO [redacted] THAT WE DO NOT GET INTO ELECTRICAL AND RECOMMENDED TAKING TO A ELECTRICAL REPAIR SHOP, [redacted] BOUGHT THE CONTROL MODULE ON HIS OWN AND BROUGHT TO US, WHICH WE INSTALLED AND HAD THE DEALER REPROGRAM. THIS DID NOT FIX THE CONCERN. NO DOCUMENT WHERE EVER SHOWN OR GIVEN TOO US TO EVEN TRY AND FIX ANY CONCERNS WITH THE VEHICLE.  IF THERE WAS A CONCERN WITH THE WORK WE WOULD DO WHAT CORRECT TO MAKE IT RIGHT. OUR TECHS WENT OVER EVERY WIRING HARNESS AND EVEN ADDED AN ADDITIONAL GROUND TO THE ENGINE BLOCK BEFORE HAVING [redacted] TAKE VEHICLE TO ELECTRICAL REPAIR SHOP. THE ADDITIONAL GROUND MADE NO DIFFERENCE ON RUNNABILITY.
