Transmissions for Less Reviews (6)

The response by Transmissions for Less is untrue When the truck was brought in to them for the transmission issue, all my gauges were working (oil pressure, gas, temperature, etc.) When I went to pick up the truck, they admitted that these things were no longer working and said to leave the truck so they could try to fix that problem It seemed obvious to me that they had inadvertently disconnected something, as those gauges worked when the vehicle was left with them They told me they replaced the instrument cluster, but that was not done, evidenced by the fact that when I finally brought the truck home and tore the dash apart, it was evident by the dust and debris that the instrument cluster was not even removed, much less replaced

response to complaint ID# *** TO whom it may concern, Transmission For Less LLC received the dodge truck in April in which it was not running, was informed by customer the transmission was bad, we were also unaware of any kind of electrical issue until we rebuilt
the transmission and installed it and had been road tested and the truck quit running which in turn had to be towed back to the shopwe then started looking for any issues that may have to do with starting the vehicle , we found that the TCM ( transmission control module ) and ECM ( engine control module ) which are one of the same unit was badinformed customer and replaced module, vehicle now ran after the work was done and did not charge customer for this servicethen sent it out for further electrical diagnostics and found that instrument panel was bad ( cluster) informed the customer that we would not be performing this service on this vehicleI feel that we Transmission For Less LLC since we did not charge customer for all diagnostics that we performed on electrical even after ALL INVOICES STATES WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY HARD PARTS OR ELECTRICAL helped the customer as much as we were able to at our cost by diagnosing the issue and fixing what Transmission For Less was able to fix at no cost to customerTransmission For Less LLC will not pay for customers cluster, we have spent hours at no cost to the customer and has paid for customers TCM and ECM in hopes this would be the end of any issues Transmission For Less LLC is very sorry that we can no longer assist the customer with any more free work or free parts to the customerTransmission For Less LLC is a business and try's to work with our customers as best as we can without putting our shop in jeopardy this is a small business family owned , again Transmission For Less LLC apologizes

/or he could take his vehicle and bring it back to the shop when Transmission For Less LLC was given the green light to reopen the shop for business and / or when the shop was relocated. , but again at this point Transmission For Less LLC had no time frame on when the shop will be up and running Transmission For Less LLC was infact relocated and just now been given the ok to start business going with this being said and explained Transmission For Less LLC would like to inform customer we have not refused service at any time and he still has the option on bringing his vehicle back to the the shop and allow Transmission For Less to fix whatever the issue may be under one condition that the customer uses the warranty that has been issued with receipt with customer's signature , and knowledge that if vehicle has been worked on by another shop the warranty can be voided due to the fact if in fact another shop would work on customer's transmission it is very possible the issue can be built into the unit and it is almost impossible to fix the original issue and the unit would have to be replaced meaning there would be another unit that would have to be purchased and it would be built from ground up  and it would be double the price and the responsibility would be the customers on purchasing the unit 'ONLY' and of course Transmission For Less LLC would replace parts. And that customer allows Transmission For Less LLC time without all the phone calls rushing the shop to get to the vehicle , Due to the move relocating the shop Transmission For Less LLC has been given the opportunity to pick our other customers  jobs and new jobs. Transmission For Less also would like to inform customer Transmission For Less LLC still has the same number but having trouble with the phone company to get all the lines ported and working properly so all calls have been transferred to our cell phones but for some reason not all calls have been coming in but the customer can get ahold of me [redacted] owner / manager directly through my email which is [redacted] and I personally will be corresponding back with all customers. Thank you For Your Understanding and I personally apologize for the late response again the move was not easy and getting everything half way up and running has been time consuming.

    TO whom it may concern,
Transmission For Less LLC received the dodge truck  in April 2016 in which it was not running, was informed by customer the transmission was bad, we were also unaware of any kind of electrical issue...

until we rebuilt the transmission and installed it and had been road tested and the truck quit running which in turn had to be towed back to the shop. we then started looking for any issues that may have to do with starting the vehicle , we found that the TCM ( transmission control module ) and ECM ( engine control module ) which are one of the same unit was bad. informed customer and replaced module, vehicle now ran after the work was done and  did not charge customer for this service. then sent it out for further electrical  diagnostics and found that  instrument panel was bad ( cluster) . informed the customer that we would not be performing this service on this vehicle. I feel that we Transmission For Less LLC  since we did not charge customer for all diagnostics that we performed on electrical even after ALL INVOICES STATES WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY HARD PARTS OR ELECTRICAL  helped the customer as  much as we were able to at our cost by diagnosing the issue and fixing what Transmission For Less was able to fix at no cost to customer. Transmission For Less LLC will not pay for customers cluster, we have spent 6 hours at no cost to the customer and has paid for customers TCM and ECM in hopes this would be the end of any issues . Transmission For Less LLC is very sorry that we can no longer assist the customer with any more free work or free parts to the customer. Transmission For Less LLC is a business and try's to work with our customers as best as we can without putting our shop in jeopardy this is a small business family owned , again Transmission For Less LLC apologizes.

Review: I found the car repair shop online called transmission for less. When I first took the car to the shop, they said it would cost me $1600 to fix it. I took the car to the shop on May 19th. on may 21st 2014 they call me they found other stuff that needed to be replace and would cost me like $400, and I asked them to go ahead and replace. They said the car was ready and I picked up the car on May 23rd and paid $1959.47. On the way home, the lights originally was on for the transmission problems came back on. I made a u turn and took the car back to them on the same day. I again picked up the car on 6/2/14. They said they said the transmission was fixed. I drove the car again home and by the time I got home, the lights came back on and the first gear would not work, just like it was when I took it to the shop the first day. I took car back to them again on Wednesday 6/4/14 . They took 2 weeks to look at the car and I picked the car back up and drove like 10 minutes away and transmission issues lights came on again. I called the shop and they asked me to bring the car. They said the speed sensors need to be replaced. so I asked [redacted](the manager) to get it and replace it and I would pay when its ready. it took him 2 weeks to call me the car is ready. I picked up the car and on may home all lights came on and the car would not move smoothly. I called him right away and he said he did not replace the sensor. I took the car to [redacted] that same day and they told me its not about the sensors but the torque converter. but I went ahead and have both speed sensors replace and still the car would not move in the first gear. I called [redacted] and he asked me to bring the car, I sent the car to his shop on 7/1/14 and anytime I call to check on the car he would say tomorrow at "11 o'clock" or when he knows I am the one calling he would change his voice on the phone and said [redacted] left or tell his workers to tell me he is not there. I went and pick up the car on 7/11/14 and nothing has been done on the car, he knew I was coming and he left the shop and left the car key behind. I am going to drag him to court so he can either have my transmission fixed or refund my money ,Desired Settlement: I would like the company to fix my transmission and or refund my money so I can have it fixed somewhere else
