We pride ourselves on the equipment we use with our training programsOur trucks and machinery are subject to extensive daily inspections, continual upgrades and constant maintenance to ensure our students have optimal operating conditions and the highest standard of safety
Occasionally, a truck or machine may need a repair, but with us having such a large fleet at our disposal, a replacement truck or machine is usually available, if required
In regards to our trainers, we typically do not discuss our employer/employee relations publiclyIn this particular scenario, our trainer was terminated, he did not quitHis termination was due to inability to follow our trainer code of conduct policy
With us having to terminate a trainer, it left us in a situation where we had to make a schedule alteration for ***Our trucking and construction programs include many different aspects which include practical training, yard time, field labs, observation and unlimited simulator time, all of which are equally importantWe are confident that our curriculum is the best in the entire countryWe know what it takes to produce top-notch heavy equipment operators and commercial drivers
*** was taking one of our Construction courses, which include heavy equipment and tractor trailer trainingHe completed 3/of the program, doing weeks of in-class theory training for heavy equipment and commercial driving as well as weeks of practical heavy equipment time on a Backhoe, Excavator, Grader, Bulldozer and LoaderThis is a Week Course
On Aug10th, *** came to the campus and met with the campus manager and discussed scheduling optionsThis meeting was not productive as *** would continually raise his voice, swear and use profanity throughout the conversation
Dissatisfied with the available resolution, he was offered to speak to the president of the company on Aug11th
*** came in to the campus to speak with the president of the company on Aug11th*** yelled and screamed continually throughout the conversationAt that point, *** decided that he did not want to proceed and decided to withdraw from the program
After he was finished speaking with the president, he continued to escalate his belligerent behaviorHe was asked to leave but did not*** proceeded to verbally assault our young, pregnant, campus manager for no apparent reason*** continued to yell, scream and swear throughout the campus and our classroom about many things that were completely unrelated to our training
After many attempts of asking *** to leave, the police were contacted*** has been instructed to stay away from our school
In regards to a refund, we have followed the guidelines in the Private Career Colleges ActBecause *** completed weeks of his weeks training program, he is eligible for a **% refundThe refund has been processed and was mailed out on Aug15th, via Canada PostAccording to the Private Career Colleges Act, we have up to days to process a refund, but we rushed the process for him
We have a zero tolerance policy in regards to abuse of our employees, and we always wish to resolve any issues in a civil matter
*** was extremely hostile and abusive towards our employees and we have been left with no other option but to ban *** from contacting us or stepping foot at any of our locationsThis is very unfortunate as we would have loved to assist *** with job placement assistance when he was done is program, but believe he is unstable and we cannot jeopardize the safety of our employees by being in contact with him or in his presence
