Revdex.com response to complaint #***:We opened our salon in and have worked tirelessly to create a membership agreement and a payment system that caters to the members’ ability to manage his/hers own membership account In our industry there is NOT a "product" so to speak, service and
convenience alone is the product This is why we give our members the freedom to manage their own accountWe have found that our members prefer personal accountabilityUnlike MANY salons, fitness centers, or other membership based businesses we DO NOT offer binding yearly or multi-year memberships Our auto pay memberships are “month to month” ONLY and may be cancelled at ANY time for ANY reason with NO cancellation feeThere is no contractual obligation after the first payment cycleThis makes the process very clear and very easy for our members ~Freezing~ Any auto pay member may freeze his/her membership for up to months at a time, after which the auto pay membership will resume, or the member may extend his/her freeze by filling out another freeze form The freeze may be used an unlimited amount of times for as long as a member has an active auto pay account During a freeze period, membership dues are reduced to $1/mo Activating a freeze requires a ten day notice before the members next billing date (WE OFTEN allow as little as seven days to help members who didn’t freeze within the day required time.) Freezing a membership requires the member to come into the salon and fill out a freeze form wherein THE MEMBER fills out the freeze form illustrating the months in which they do not want to be billed The member then initials next to the months they have selected to be frozen and must sign the freeze form so there is a “hard copy paper trail” protecting both the member and our salon Again, this is designed to give the member all control of his/her account ~Cancelling~ANY member may cancel an auto pay membership by coming into the salon and getting a cancellation formThe written agreement states that under no circumstances may a member cancel in the salon The cancellation form must be sent via certified mail to *** *** *** BY THE MEMBER with a day noticeThere is no cancellation fee *** *** *** *** *** ***, TX ***Employees of the salon DO NOT HANDLE THE CANCELLATION PROCESS Furthermore, WE DO NOT COLLECT THE SS#’S OR DL#’s OF ANY OF OUR MEMBERS AND WE ARE IN NO WAY AFFILIATED NOR TIED TO ANY CREDIT BEAUREA(PER THIS COMPLAINT) We will be more than happy to forward a copy of our member agreement to Revdex.com to be kept on recordHowever, when it is within reason we prefer NOT to "fall back" on the written letter of the member agreement which would be our legal right We opt instead to treat our customers as individuals and to handle each customer satisfaction issue ourselves so as to reach a reasonable resolution We usually do whatever it takes to please and retain our members rather than referring them to the written agreement they signedWord of mouth is like GOLD in our market. Hello, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.  We always try to resolve any and all billing or service related matters in a timely manner and to the best of our ability.  Tan Your Hide has had the same freeze/cancel policy for 15 years.  All freezes and...

cancellations are done in person and in writing so as to avoid any discrepancy.  Ive included a letter explaining our written policies, but, whenever possible, we do NOT hold our members to the written agreement if we can resolve an issue and make our member happy in a manner that is fair to both our members and the salon.  -We have the signed copy of the written agreement for this member that details all of our freeze  and cancel policies, and shows exactly what her monthly billing amount will be. A copy of this agreement with her signature was also sent to her by mail when she joined. -None of the auto pay memberships are based on "usage".  The member may choose either the 1st or the 15th for his/her billing date, and that is the date they will always be billed.  The billing amount for this member is $46/mo per her written agreement.-We have the freeze form that displays the months that SHE chose to freeze her account, and that she signed.  SHE CLEARLY FILLED OUT THE FORM TO FREEZE 4/15-7/15, WHICH MADE HER NEXT BILLING DATE 8/15.  TAN YOUR HIDE EMPLOYEES DO NOT FILL OUT ANY BILLING FREEZE FORMS, THESE ARE FILLED OUT AND SIGNED BY THE MEMBERS.  THE MEMBER SELECTS THE MONTHS THEY WILL BE FROZEN, AND THEY SIGN IT. -We have all of the correspondence between our billing service(American payment services) and this member.  We do not handle ANY cancellations in the salon, per the written agreement. On 10/26/16 the member called APS and was given cancellation instructions.  She also gave APS new billing info to continue her monthly membership.  On 1/10/17, the member again called APS and said she was "waiting for a freeze form to be sent to her?"
