To whom it may Concern: I'm responding to the complaint made on 1/2/2018 by Mr. [redacted]. Sometime in August 2017 Mr. [redacted] came to TrasZen Transmission to ask for a quote on a 1995 [redacted] Civic. The quote made to Mr. [redacted] was in the amount of $1,800.00 to rebuild the transmission on the 1995 [redacted]...

Civic, about a week later Mr. [redacted] dropped off his vehicle to get worked on. It took me about a week or less to complete the job. Mr [redacted] and partner came to pick up and took it for a drive. Mr [redacted] called and said the car was having trouble picking up speed. I advised Mr. [redacted] to turn back around so I could check it again as it could be the cable. I adjusted the down shifting cable and that seemed to fix the problem for the car not picking up speed. Mr. [redacted] mentioned that the car was still not working correctly, so I proposed to Mr. [redacted] that I could find another Transmission Core to rebuild and swap with his original one just incase it was the original transmission core that had the issues. Few days later I received a call from Mr. [redacted] accusing us of scratching the front bumper of his vehicle. to make the customer happy I gave him $80.00 cash out of my pocket. I found another transmission core for Mr. [redacted]'s [redacted], but unfortunately I had a family emergency and was not able to work as much as I needed to. Once I returned back to work I had Mr. [redacted] bring in his car. Mr. [redacted] was not happy and complaining about my work not being done correctly the first time and complained about being without a car for few days. I gave Mr. [redacted] once again more money, this time it was $300 for a car rental that he never provided a rental receipt after I asked him for it. I started working on Mr. [redacted]'s transmission for the second time Mr. [redacted] said the transmission was still not working correctly. After checking the vehicle again I decided to take it for a Diagnostic at the [redacted] Dealer in Sacramento that cost me $145.00 to do. The diagnostic came back showing low transmission fluid. Due to the Transmission fluid being low I offered Mr. [redacted] to wait for a bit while I looked for another transmission core. After locating another Transmission Core I contacted Mr. [redacted] to drop off his car for couple of days so I could work on it. Mr. [redacted] once again very upset and demanded to be paid for a car rental. Once again.... I gave Mr. [redacted] $200.00 cash and asked him again to provide me with a receipt of rental. As of today Mr. [redacted] has never provided me with the receipt of the $500.00 in rental charges. After many complaints from Mr. [redacted] and partner coming to my business very upset and calling multiple times accusing me of false accusations we decided to refund the full amount of $1,800.00 and we both agreed that he would take his business elsewhere, and release me from all/any liability and I agreed by providing him the full refund and cutting all my losses of a total of $3,745.00. *$500.00 - Rental Fees *$80.00 - Bumper scratch repair *$145.00 Diagnostic *$300.00 Transmission Core *$440.00 Rebuilding transmission parts/kits *$1,140.00 (12 hours of labor on 1st repair) *$ 1,140.00 (12 hours of labor on 2nd repair) I would like to say first... they complained about TranZen Transmissions not fixing the problem.
