Review: I purchased a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 sport from Traub auto sales in watertown ct, after the first wk of owning I brought to a mechanic who told me the front end was not safe to sell in ct, so I brought truck back to dealer, the brought it to a welder of there own and put 3 tack welds to hold my who suspension in, im not a mechanic so these problems werent obvious to the naked eye. once I got the truck back I had another mechanic look at it and they said it was a hack job, I called TRaub auto the brushed me off and swore at me and I have witnesses. so now my truck is stuck at fire stone in southington ct with the front end fallin of and the vechicle is un driveable. I asked to purchase the extended warrenty which it says I can do in out contract up to 90 days of purchase I called them yesterday and they wont sell it to me because they know they ripped me off waht do I do??Desired Settlement: I want the truck front end replaced I have pictures from when I first found the problem and after the problem was so called fixed, I can get a statement from fire stone saying that the new problem was caused by the original problem

FIRST THINGS FIRST.IT WAS A SNOWPLOW INSTALLATION COMPANY THAT TOLD HIM THE FRONT END WASN'T SAFE AND THEY WERE REFFERRING TO A COIL SPRING BUCKET.IT WAS A LITTLE RUSTY,SO TO KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY WE HAD THE SPRING BUCKET REPLACED AT A WELDING SHOP WITH SOME 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE AND HAD DONE SEVERAL DODGE TRUCKS WITH SAME PROBLEM.AFTER THE REPAIR THE PLOW COMPANY INSTALLED THE PLOW,WHICH WE ADVISED AGAINEST BECAUSE A 1500 SERIES TRUCK ISN'T DESIGNED FOR A PLOW AND THE MANUFACTURER DOESNT RECOMMEND IT'BUT THAT ASIDE THEY INSTALLED THE PLOW ANYWAY WHICH MEANS THEY OKAYED THE REPAIR.AFTER SEVERAL SNOWSTORMS HE CALLED AND A TOLD US OF ANOTHER PROBLEM IN THE FRONT END TOTALLY UNRELATED TO OUR REPAIR.UPON SEEING PICTURES OF THE PROBLEM WE OFFERED TO PICK UP THE TRUCK AND LOOK AT IT,BUT WHEN TOW TRUCK ARRIVED TRUCK WAS GONE.AFTER STUDING THE PICTURE FUTHER I THINK DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY HITTING SOMETHING WITH THE FRONT END POSSIBLY WHILE PLOWING.AS FAR AS THE SERVICE CONTRACT GOES THAT BOX WAS NOT CHECKED OFF ON HIS BUYERS GUIDE AND FURTHERMORE WOULD NOT COVER HIS CURRENT PROBLEM EVEN IF IT WAS. YOU spent 1,295 at your welder I have the invoice if needed. I want to get a estimate from a Auto body shop of my choice and have the truck repaired and to be reimbursed for the money I spent when my front end fell off and fire stone showed you the paper saying it was unsafe to drive and you spoke to them on the phone and I had to have it welded. my wife is a witness when we purchashed the truck Joe your sales man was well aware that the vehicle was going to be used to plow he wished me luck on my business venture. I am in the last step of bringing this to civil court where this could cost you way more money. I have someone that works for DMV who saw it and they said it should have never been sold it ct. so the question is not Jeff what do I want the question is Traub motors how are you going to reimburse and fix the on going problem with the front passenger side of my truck. from the beginning you didnt want to replace axle and front end differential like it should have been because if it was fixed none of this would have happened. and I bought the truck in October I have receipts I didnt get my plow installed till mid November. I reported the issue to you way before then so saying the Plow cause this is not a fact thank you!!
