While I am sorry to hear of Ms***'s experience, the certificate must be sent in and registered in our system At no time did Ms*** register her certificate
The terms and conditions do state that travel must be completed by the expiration date on the
certificate
With regards to a refund, Ms*** did not pay any funds to Travel America The certificate she received from the participating merchant is not to be sold or bartered to the end user (end user being Ms***) and has no cash value and is meant to be used for promotional purposes If she paid anything to the merchant she received the certificate from she should be requesting a refund directly with them
If Ms*** left messages, I cannot find any log of those calls in our system I apologize for any inconvenience she may have experienced, but the certificate needed to be registered and at no time was that done We are sorry that she was not able to use her certificate, but as per our terms and conditions the certificate needed to be registered in our office and travel must be completed by expiration date on the certificate

Before I received this complaint, I had already contacted the customer and advised them that we had a travel date for them. Back in Dec 2013, they were placed on a wait list for an April 13th travel week date for Las Vegas. I advised them that a customer who previously had that travel date had...

changed their mind and in turn I offered that travel week to the complainant. They have agreed to take it.

I am happy to inform you that a customer who was approved
for that week has changed their mind and backed out.
