have used trips thru travel options and BOTH have been a train wreckSuper poor hotels and it seems that Travel Options knows how to TAKE a reservation, they just don't know how to HOLD a reservationPlease don't waste your time asking for smoke freeI have had a call into TO for about days now waiting on a customer service manager to get back in touch with meno availPatheticDo yourselves a favor and stay FAR, FAR AWAY from Travel OptionsSeriously!

I purchased a vacation package from this company last April, their process was simple and I was able to book a reservation to Orlando this August for my family. I did have to show up for a timeshare tour as required but the sales staff was professional and courteous. I did not purchase the timeshare, but the Calypso resort had nice accommodations and we had an overall good time in our vacation. If you are willing to spend a couple of hours under a sales presentation it is well worth the savings. Also Thank you [redacted] your help was very appreciated with our reservations.

What I have found out with this company "Travel Options" is it is a Bait and Switch company. They lure you in with the promotion of not staying in typical hotel rooms but staying in resort type areas, such as those with kitchens, living areas and amenities that you would not find in a hotel setting. You are reeled in with paying a large payment that will cover several different locations but then when you go to make a reserved date for a location no matter what time of the year, it is a "Peak Season" time for that location and some have to pay additional monies. This company? termed used loosely is a BIG rip off and I would not suggest it to anyone. Very rude customer service representatives and as soon as I have used up all of the locations that I put my money of front for I will NEVER deal with them again. As a matter of fact my suggestion would be STAY AWAY!!!

DO NOT BUY TRAVEL PACKAGES FROM TRAVEL OPTIONS!!!!!!!
when I purchased my travel package we agreed $ 299 for 2 and 3 nights to destinations like Myrtle Beach, Daytona, Las Vegas, a cruise after you complete the first trip, 3 nights Bahamas and Mexico and we got another destination of our choice.
It sounds too good to be true... right? because it is.
even on your package it says that this is at no extra cost, BUT there are fees on top of fees: booking fees, each destination will cost you an additional $ 30 - 40 and you pay other taxes and fees... well... you would say that it is still a good deal. That is until you attend the first presentation and you are told that you have to pick up a slip from a welcome center, take it to the hotel, take it then to the presentation and take it than back to the hotel.
If you lose it, you pay the hotel.... they say $120 per night.
When we were at the hotel, they advertised $ 60 per night.
We were initially told that it would be a Hilton or worst case a La Quinta. I had them recorded.
But I was never given that. Even if I had proof they said that.
What was I going to do? Go through courts?
My time in courts would have costed me more than what I lost altogether with them.
Another thing.
This is true that you don't pay fees on top of fees ONLY if you travel out of the "peek season" and that would be May - August.
So if you wish to travel from September to April... Let's admit, you don't.
I just returned from Daytona, it is mid September.... And it was cold. I couldn't get in the water.
And just keep in mind that out of the 3 days 2 nights you get, the middle day, the only day you have available entirely for your vacation, that is the day you attend the presentation. NO NEGOTIATION. You have to do that.
So you end up paying for transportation, you have fees on top of fees that bring you very close to what would have costed you to travel without Travel Options, and the most important day of your trip you spend at presentations.
Yes, I did say most of the day because you have to drive from your hotel to the resort that tries to sell you the time share and the presentation is AT LEAST 90 minutes. And you have that written on your terms and conditions.
So it is not AROUND 90 minutes. It is at least. The speeches and the resort tours were more that 3 hours ALWAYS. After the sales presentation you have to wait for a shuttle, tour the resort, wait for a shuttle again, talk to a sales rep.... it takes time.
You think that you might save some money, but this is not intended for you to save, this is intended for Travel Options to make money and use any kind of details AGAINST YOU.
Like " you could have had accommodations like Hilton if you would travel in February in Daytona."
but on the phone they only say... we have accommodations like Hilton.
They try to make you think one thing, but the truth is in the details. And is not what you are being told.
I wish you all the best of luck and I hope you enjoy your vacations regardless of what you choose. Just make sure that you are informed when you do choose.
They will try to tell you that they travel thousands and of course you can't make everyone happy.... But those who are not complaining DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE HAPPY.
I didn't want to write this because I have a lot going on.
But I am doing this for you... I was in your shoes.
