Review: My husband [redacted], went to see [redacted] on a family referral for airline tickets for 3 of our family members to travel to [redacted] for the December holiday. My husband visited her location in the [redacted] and sat with her to discuss details. She printed out an itinerary with prices and dates and told us not to book yet at the prices may come down, but she promised that the price would not go up. So in good faith we waited as she recommended after following up several times inbetween as recent as yesterday to ensure we were still in agreement. Today we called to purchase the tickets as it is getting close to departure and want to ensure our seats and were given an incredibly frustrating goose chase that results in more than $1000.00 from the originally agreed upon price. When we told her that this was unacceptable and that it was not fair she said she would work on it since it was a computer glitch on her end and would fix it. I have all of this in emails. She agreed to call us back today with a resolution. Upon calling her again today, we discovered that she left the office at 230 pm for a 2 week vacation; which she never mentioned and never called us back as promised with any potential solutions. We proceeded in blind faith that a professional as herself in business for 30 years would be true to her word. We asked that she absorb the difference being it was her mistake or some other compromise, but have heard nothing.Desired Settlement: We would like to book the trip at the originally agreed upon price without expecting the customer to burden the additional cost of expense due to the agents error. We were ready to book the tickets that first visit but didn't under her advice and now we cannot be expected to pay for her mistake. Thank you.

I feel compelled to clarify some of the inaccuracies in the complaint lodged by [redacted]. I have been the owner/operator of Travel Showcase since 1990 (24 years). In all of my years as a travel agent I have always worked to secure the best fares and prices for my clients. I explained to **. & [redacted] that the original fare I quoted them ($4,468) was provide to me by Sabre, which is the entity used by the entire travel industry to determine airline fares. This quote was guaranteed to me by Sabre until December [redacted]. However, on October [redacted] when the Tommasi's requested me to book their tickets, the price on Sabre jumped to $5,283, a difference of $815. I explained to the clients that I was going to deliberate with Sabre about the guaranteed quote and that I would be able to rectify this, given time. They were anxious to procure their tickets and insisted that I book them. I agreed to do so and charge them only an additi onal $132 and that my agency would absorb the additional $683 to make up the $815 difference. All of this was communicated to them on November [redacted] via email and also by phone. If you need a copy of the email trail, I can provide that. Although I did go out of town on October [redacted], I remained in communication with them about this issue. I will continue to work with Sabre to rectify the problem created by them in not honoring the original December [redacted] guarantee.

This has NOT been resolved at all. In fact after confirming pricing and flight schedule. She charged us $400 extra for Each ticket and has now screwed up our return flight having us arrive for our connection after it has already left!!! We are so upset. Please help! Thank you.
