Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.First, the purpose of having insurance is to make one whole after an accidentI do not feel this is being met in my caseMr O [redacted] is averaging numbers and guessing what the value of my car was when I purchased itWhy can't he take the actual numbers from the purchase records since it had only been months since I purchased the carI purchased the car from an actual retail dealerI doubt they were going to sell me a car at below Blue Book valueTherefore I feel the purchase price is fair an accurateSecondly, no one is going to buy a car that has been in an accident instead of buying one that has not been damagedThat is only common senseAsk yourself that very question and anyone would agreeThe value of my car has been diminished and I have an appointment with [redacted] next week to get an appraisalSince you need this response within days I can only give you the verbal estimate I was given when I went to try and trade it inThe dealer was [redacted] and they offered me $7,for this carAs it has been stated previously, I paid over $10,just s few months ago If we use the Total Loss Formula (TLF) that Ca uses, and we use actual numbers for pre-accident value, post accident value and repair amounts I am certain that my car should have been designated a "total loss" Thank you for your time and attentionI can forward the appraisal that I receive next week if necessary Regards, [redacted]

November 23, Revdex.com Bryant Woods South Amherst, NY RE: *** *** Westfield Rd Bakersfield,
CA Policy Number*** *** * Claim Number:*** Type of Coverage:Auto-Private Passenger Loss Date: 1/5/Case ID Number:*** Att:*** Please allow this to serve as our response with the regard to the complaint filed by customer *** *** on November 18, 2015. The date of loss for this accident was January 5, and the accident took place in Bakersfield, CA. We made the determination that the complainants Mitsubishi Galant was repairable after the accident of January 5, 2015. The total damage appraisal, including towing and storage, was $9154.92. Deducting towing and storage, the actual vehicle damages were $8253.92. This is well below the actual cash value of $11,plus tax of $for a total of $12,Based on the above, it is our position that the determination that the vehicle was repairable after the accident of January 5, was appropriateIt should aslo be noted that the customer had a second accident on 7/29/2015. The vehicle sustained approximately $in damage. Her damages were paid by Loya Casualty Insurance, the carrier for the at-fault party. Again, the customer had her vehicle repairedSincerely, Patrick O*** Patrick O*** | *** *** Travelers Lakefront BlvdBuffalo, NY

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.First, the purpose of having insurance is to make one whole after an accident. I do not feel this is being met in my case. Mr O[redacted] is averaging numbers and guessing what the value of my car was when I purchased it. Why can't he take the actual numbers from the purchase records since it had only been 2 months since I purchased the car. I purchased the car from an actual retail dealer. I doubt they were going to sell me a car at below Blue Book value. Therefore I feel the purchase price is fair an accurate. Secondly, no one is going to buy a car that has been in an accident instead of buying one that has not been damaged. That is only common sense. Ask yourself that very question and anyone would agree. The value of my car has been diminished and I have an appointment with [redacted] next week to get an appraisal. Since you need this response within 5 days I can only give you the verbal estimate I was given when I went to try and trade it in. The dealer was [redacted] and they offered me $7,000 for this car. As it has been stated previously, I paid over $10,000 just s few months ago.  If we use the Total Loss Formula (TLF) that Ca uses, and we use actual numbers for pre-accident value, post accident value and repair amounts I am certain that my car should have been designated a "total loss".
Thank you for your time and attention. I can forward the appraisal that I receive next week if necessary.
