Our stay
I booked a room in Lumberton north Carolina. Never again I was told pool was open oh yeah had no water in it. There was sign pointing to ice machine. They had none. It was over priced and never again

I talked to the GM again about the issue brought up by [redacted] .We are very sorry but once again, when someone inspects the room at great length and finds the room satisfactory, they cannot spend the night and then complained about the room the morning after and expect not to have to pay far ItIf she had told us the front desk about hair issues, we would have either given her a new room, or sent a maid to re-clean the room or asked her if she wanted to check her out without penaltyWe would also have helped her find new accommodations in [redacted] SincerelyBrigitte H

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: - yes, we did inspect the room prior, but did not realize the carpets were dirty as we had our shoes on, also regarding the bathroom, the way I pulled the shower curtin back I did not notice the hair - the bathroom floor under my shoes felt funny but I thought it was the type of flooring and dismissed it - the boys changed and went barefoot to the pool, returned within half hour, changed & we went to dinner , we returned to the room at about 9pm - about 9:30pm is when I notices the bottom of the boys feet being filthy - do to the time of night I waited till next morning to contact the mgr In the morning when we were about to take our showers is when I actually saw the hair on the walls and the shower floor was dirty Awaiting return call from the Mgr, the boys went down to front desk for breakfast items, and the reason they did not saying anything to the front desk regarding the situation; it is not their concern I AM the parent and will handle the adult situationsWhen the Mgr finally contact me, I had assumed he would immedi***y have someone come and clean the room properly for us and we would continued our stay but the Mgr didnt, he kept saying what do you want me to do, I cant clean the carpets now, it will take 2-days to dry and I will lose money Realizing the Mgr was not going to accommodate me with this unclean situation I realized the only thing to do is leave which I did In regards to the rates I didn’t realize the cost given by [redacted] .com did not include the taxes I was not unhappy Questioning the price difference has nothing to do with the unclean conditions I am still requesting total reimbursement of $ Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] made reservation through [redacted] com for seven days far a non smoking room with two double bedsPrior to check-in, she demanded to inspect the room, she was given a key and went to the room to inspect it thoroughlyShe came back and said it was ok end checked-inThe guest also questioned the rates quoted by [redacted] .com and was not happy with themHer two sons came to the front desk in the morning for breakfast and did not say anything about being inconvenienced in any wayLater on, she called the FD for the Gm to go to her roomThe Gm was late that morning, but he called her room and talked to the lady regarding her issuesMr P [redacted] did not hang up an the lady or refused to listen to her grievances; he was aware of the fact that she had checked the room and had not reported any hair in the bathroom, or any problem with cleanness.This guest checked in at pm in the afternoon, and she mentioned that the only good thing about the hotel was the pool, so we can safely assume that her sons used the pool after checking in and went to the room to change qr shower, so if the tub were dirty, she would have let us know.We are very sorry that the guest did not have a good time here, but she will not get any discount or a free room

Hotel placed a hold on my card when we checked into hotel, and again two days after we checked out when they were paid by my credit card They released the one hold they placed when they got their payment, but refuse to release the second hold I have been trying to resolve this issue with them for over weeks now My bank card cannot release the hold as it was placed by the hotel and needs released by them My money is being held up and they are refusing to release it they have accused me of trying to rip them off and take their payment back when all I want done is the release of the second hold so I have access to my own funds

I am rejecting this response because:  Yes I did inspect the room but was only in the room for about 5 minutes.  As I mention before the bathroom floor felt funny under my shoes but I thought it was the type of flooring.  As for the shower I pulled back the shower curtin from left side of the shower and did not see the long black hairs on the right side wall. We then pulled back the bedding and sat on the beds for a minute of two being sure no bed bugs which we did not find.  Left the room and checked in.  The uncleanness of the room was not notice till after returning from dinner.  This has all been outlined in prior emails.  Again as stated earlier I immediately called the front desk first thing in the morning of 08/23/12 and advised them of the dirtyness.  I was advised Mgr would call within half hour, approximate 40 minutes later the front desk called to stated Mgr running late will be arriving in about an hour, but instead the mgr called the room about an hour later.  He didnt give me the opportunity to even discuss transferring to another room or having the cleaning person come and re-do the room, all he kept saying was what do you want me to do, I am not cleaning the rugs NOW  takes 2-3 days to dry, busy time of year, will lose money.  At this point I had no alternative than to leave.  While speaking with the Mgr I asked to be reimbursed in full and he said NO,must pay for the one night that we stayed.  I argued that the reason I am leaving is do to uncleanness NOT anything else.  .  This is sad,  Travelodge has many hotels/motels across the nation and I have always used them but after this experience there is NO way I will ever stay at a Travelodge again.
