Travers Autoplex Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a 2003 Chevy S-10 on July 4 2020. I cannot register the truck because this company, instead of putting mileage exempt on the title as promised, they just put 137030 and a line through it. Heather Rutledge signed the title 5/14/20. I have been speaking to Simone since July 9 asking for them to send a letter via fax to the DMV saying they made a mistake and the mileage is exempt. She keeps saying she will do it, but she hasn't. Temp tags are expiring 8/2/20.

My name is *** and I am the sales manager here at Travers Autoplex. I want to state that *** in fact did not purchase her vehicle from us, but in fact purchased her vehicle from another dealer that did not provide her with the correct documentation. Enclosed with the title when it was sent to *** was the general affidavit that went along with the misprint on the title. This complaint shouldn't be for us it should be for the dealership that she dealt with which is ***. I have enclosed the documents that were sent to ***. Please remove this complaint as the complaint has nothing to do with our business and *** did not do business with our dealership.

We bought a vehicle over a month ago and been waiting for a title to the vehicle, a extra key if available and the tool kit that was suppose to come with it they were going to order. We were told at the signing the bill of sale that they hold the titles to the vehicles in another location, we would receive a signed title within a week. I have called back several times and keep getting told it is the states fault and told we could drive on the temp tag for a couple months. (We called the state to verify which is NOT correct). This last time I was hung up on and each time I call back they hang up or connect me to a voice mail. It is my understanding that they are to produce and hand over the title at the time of delivery of the vehicle. I rarely have had this happen in past vehicle purchases but I have never had one held for this length of time ( over a month ). I was told this was the states fault due to not issuing the title to them which, again from my understanding, would make the sale of the vehicle illegal without possession of a title and they said the tool kit they would order and send us is on backorder so at this time we can not take the doors off the jeep or even drive it, legally. The salesperson, *** told us and is in the contract they would get the tool kit to us as well. I just want to pay my sales tax and be able to operate the vehicle I purchased. They then said they would pay for any late fees that we had since it is now over a month and we will now have to pay a penalty for taking over 30 days at the DOR which we still do have a any of the items stated above.

This issue has been resolved with ***. Please close complaint!

On March 4th I had what I thought was a wonderful buying experience.

I signed the papers and left with a car I loved.
Since then has been a nightmare.

After about a month of having the car I realized I should be expecting a car payment, instead I get a letter in the mail from the original lender deciding they were going to decline the loan.
Not once did anybody from the dealership reach out to me to let me know what was going on...they just continued to try and quietly find a new lender.

Due to the amount of inquiries showing up on my credit report and a message I received from a fired employee about it I decided to reach out. At this point I was even told since they already paid off my trade in and I signed the papers, the car is legally mine and if I wanted to play my cards right I could walk away paying nothing.

At this time I also realized it is illegal in Missouri to not hand over the title at time of purchase. Which apparently I now know Travers is known for.

I was patient. I really didn’t want drama. I thought these people had worked so hard to get me into a car to begin with I was willing to give them time to get it refinanced.

At the end of April I get a call saying they got it financed at a lower monthly rate if I just gave $500 down. Great!
When I show up to sign the papers I learned they were able to do this by using my mother as a co-signer.

My parents had just completed their bankruptcy that month and were trying to buy a house. Both my parents made it clear that she would not co-sign for me but they ran her credit anyway (they had this info from the truck my parents also bought the day I originally bought my car).
I finally convinced her to be a co-signer so I could put this behind me.

Another month goes by without a word. I got an email from *** about some hard inquiries. At this point I had realized once again that the lender must’ve fallen through and they had now done 38 HARD INQUIRES. They still haven’t even reached out to let me know. In addition to hitting my credit they continued to hit my moms. We asked them to stop because they were trying to get a loan for a house. They said they would. This was late May, early June.

On June 10th the General Manager, *** reached out to me wanting to “put this nightmare behind us.”
We had a conversation on June 12th where *** told me he had it all taken care of through another lender already and there would be no more hits to my credit.
He reached out again on June 15th to just let me know he was only waiting on the paperwork for something he clearly never even had handled to begin with and that his assistant would reach out to me about removing the inquiries on my credit.

James has done nothing but talk in circles and lie to me. I felt that vibe the first day he called me on June 12th so I reached out to my lawyers about the situation.

Not only have they ILLEGALLY WITHHELD the title from me they have dropped my credit score 30+ points. My parents continued to get letters from lenders declining loans both under my name and my moms all dated after June 20th which is way past the date I was told they had it settled and there would be no more.

My parents were unable to get a loan for the house because the inquiries dropped her too low. She had to take $100,000 out of retirement early which is a 10% penalty and that’s $100,000 no longer earning interest. That also puts them in a different tax bracket so now they will have to pay more taxes.

On June 26th, *** reached out again making some more *** excuses as to why he’s still waiting, etc. This was my final straw.

When I brought this to my lawyers they laughed because they are already suing Travers for the same *** they did to another person. They play this *** game and will illegally repo the car as well. Knowing they do this, my lawyers were able to find out through the repo company that this has been done to 30 customers!!!

I’ve been driving around with expired temp tags for months now because I don’t even have the title to get my plates.

We traded in a 2019 prowler lynx travel trailer for a 2017 gmc Acadia. On the sales contract it list that the payoff for the camper loan was 15,453.00. the actual amount sent for payoff was 15,108.15. we were never sent a refund check for the difference. My loan company for the car is finalized based on the original contract. I have called them everyday for the past two weeks, and *** the manager tells me everytime that he is going to look into it and call me back. I just want the money owed to me from Travers.

My name is *** and I am the sales manager at Travers Autoplex. *** purchased a 2017 GMC Acadia from us on January 11th, 2020 and traded in their 2019 Prowler Lynx. We included the payoff for the Prowler Lynx in the financing for the Acadia. When our floor plan company paid of the Prowler, we noticed that it was less than what we had been quoted. The money technically should have gone to the finance company since it was included on the loan. We pride ourselves in our customer service, so we wrote the check for the $344.85 to ***. The check was written on February 14th and did not get mailed out until that Tuesday because of the weekend and the Holiday. I have included a copy of the check and I sincerely apologize for the weekend delay. If you have any questions, please call me ***.
