Review: Planned a wedding and had a date set for the reception at the hall. The engagement ended in a bad breakup and needed to cancel the reception and collect my refund to cover my relocation expenses to [redacted], AZ. When I went to speak with one of the owners [redacted], she stated that she didn't have the money to return. She had me come back on numerous occasions to receive my refund, however, I was only given $200. This was on a night when I overheard one of the organizers of the event stat that they had a count of over 1500 people for the event at a ticket price of $15 a head. I paid $850 for the venue and $650 of that was supposed to be returned. To be fair, I told [redacted] that if she gave me half of the original payment ($425) BEFORE I left then we would be square. She did not hold up her end and has stopped responding to my phone calls or texts. **. [redacted] even went as far as having me send a sibling to the hall after I'd left to pick up the balance and did not give it to him when he arrived. I've offered her an account number to deposit the balance into so that she wouldn't have to give it to anyone other than me, she did not respond. To date, I have only received $200 of the balanced owed to me. [redacted] and her partner still owes me a balance of $450 and are refusing to pay since I am in a new city. This is poor business.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of $450 to be deposited into my [redacted] account Account# [redacted]If this payment is made before Saturday 9/21 I'll honor the original agreement and accept a payment of $225The original payment to [redacted] was for $850 there was a cancellation fee of $200 which brings the balance to be returned to $650 of which $200 was already refunded.
