Tree-A-Nator

Review: I hired the company Tree-A-Nator, owned by [redacted], to build a bulk head in my back yard. Mr. [redacted] advised that he had the resources and equipment to perform this service and he stated that he would do the job for $5,700. Mr. [redacted] advised that he would need $3,500 down payment to get the job started and the rest upon completion. Mr. [redacted] started the job on May 20 and very little was completed in the time frame that he advised. He advised that the job would be completed in approximately 5. During the job Mr. [redacted] did request an additional $500, which he was provided. On June 6, Mr. [redacted] called me and advised that he would no longer complete the job because he advised that he under bid the job and was not going to loose any money by completed the job that was agree upon. The job was approximately 50% completed and now he stated that it would be my responsibility to complete the job. I then had to pay an additional $2,500 in materials, $1,000 in labor, $1,000 in cost to rent heavy machinery, and $560 dollars in lost of work because I had to take off of work to finish the job myself. All this additional cost was after the $4,000 dollars that I paid him to complete the job. Mr. [redacted] has publicly threatened me via social media sense the moment that he quit the job.Desired Settlement: I would like $3,360 back from Mr. [redacted] to recover the extra money that I had to spend over the original agreed $5,700.
