First and foremost, Treebusters was a terrible company to work with. I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone else.

When we first contacted them (the man we dealt with for the majority of the time was the owner) a gentleman came out and gave us a quote right away. We decided to go with them and scheduled a day for him to come back. We were not asked to sign anything and there was no paperwork prior to them beginning the job. This should have been our first warning flag. The were hired to take down a large tree and remove the stump and all wood. On the day they came, they removed the tree and wood, but not the stump. The gentleman said they would be back the following week to complete the job. There had been some rain in between and he never came back, but because of the rain, we didn't worry too much about it. However, after a full week passed, we called back. I must interject here that EVERY time we called them, we would leave a message and receive no call back and they NEVER answered the phone when we called. I think out of the maybe 30 times we called, we received calls back twice. And once was because I threatened legal action if they did not call back immediately. So we FINALLY got a hold of them and he made an excuse about the rain and that he would be out the next week. He also made no apology about not showing up. Another week passed and we still did not see him or hear from him. We called again, numerous times, and finally got a call back. He made an excuse about a broken machine, and again, no apology for setting appointments and missing them without notification. At this point, about 2 weeks after the first work had been done, my husband went on the roof to clean the gutters before the next big rain. There was a hole in our roof. He called them again and told them we expected them to repair the damage they caused. Once again, time passed, we heard nothing, and they missed an appointment. I called and threatened legal action and received a call back almost immediately. He said he would be there the next day by noon. He showed up at 4pm and never called to say he would be late. Again, he made excuses, acted like I was overreacting, and never apologized for his service. When he arrived, he removed the stump and never came to the house to speak to us even though he knew we were to discuss the hole. My husband went out to talk with him and showed him the photo of the hole. After trying to say the hole was already there, he said it would be easy to fix and he'd be back on Monday (this was Saturday). He never showed up. I called him again and told him I wouldn't be contacting him back. He never called back. I'd had enough. We tried to file a claim on our credit card for poor service but because the work was technically completed, they said there wasn't anything they could do. Luckily, the damage was only quoted at $165 of damage, but after having a hole in our roof for a MONTH, we should've been able to reduce the price of our work.

This is a terrible company with horrid customer service. They don't admit mistakes, they treat the customers like they're overreacting when clearly there is an issue, they overlook things, they drag out the work and push it aside. At one point, we were told he was taking a while to get back because due to the rain, he was behind on other jobs and had to catch up. So we had to suffer and not have a finished job? The whole experience was ridiculous. Don't let this happen to you. Save your money and sanity and choose someone else.
