Tree Top Apartments Reviews (2)

Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Thank you for taking the time to address the concerns that I have provided but a resolution has still not been offered. The reason I am rejecting the response you have provided is for various reasons. The first thing that I would like to address is the fact that my last name is not "[redacted]" and has not been that for a over a year, I have notified the apartment management of this several times and even shown them out marriage certificate, and asked to be addressed as [redacted] on numerous occasions. I find it highly unprofessional and disrespectful that they continue to address me as someone other than what is legally written on paper. As for any lease violations that were served upon my husband and I as residents, we feel that they were clearly unfair and not in violation of the lease. Since we clearly did not sign a new lease and were under month to month, our lease expired in July of 2015. The "so called" lease that management states we were under clearly defines that if you have patio furniture it must be neat and kept up. The patio furniture that we had was a stack of green chairs that were neatly stacked in the corner of the back patio, the picture is provided in this complaint. As for other "so called" lease violations we have received the second one was for the fact that my car was supposedly parked in front of the fire lane when in fact my car was not, it was sitting in front of the garage while I was merely backing up into the garage, I have several witnesses that were with me on that day that would gladly be willing to write statements. On the day, that we were fined a few weeks ago I had 2 members of my family with me, one of which was a minor who struggles with severe depression and the management not only blatantly demeaned her and made her feel unwelcome but the community director Rachel made her cry from yelling at her, since she is a minor her mother will be writing to FPI management corporate and letting them know of this issue. The apartment management claims they are a friendly community which in fact is not the case, as they have proved to be unprofessional and make guests that have done nothing wrong feel like garbage. Secondly, I had provided the management with a copy of the paperwork for our service animal, which was a note directly from his doctor. The community director had confronted me numerous times saying that our service animal was not allowed and harassing me about our animal, which is against the disability act. As for matters concerning mildew and mold I have provided pictures of all the mildew and mold that has not been taken care of and ignored by apartment management. I have contacted apartment management several times by phone and by going into the office and still these issues were left unresolved. I had tried to clean the best I could but the mildew and mold just kept coming back, now we have chosen to move out simply because of the fact that this is a health concern for us since it was making our 1.5 year old daughter extremely sick!! I have informed the apartment management numerous times that they are allowed to have someone come over to take a look at the mold/mildew and as of this date nothing has happened. As stated parking is allowed in handicap spaces with a sticker or a placard as deemed by state law, but me as well as others have witnessed the community director parking in the handicap space without the proper documentation which I believe is against the law and I would be more than happy to provide witness statements accounting for these instances. As for all matters being handled professionally in the office, this is not the case, I have been harassed on a daily basis for the past couple of weeks by the main office management community director via personal interaction and interaction through social media, I have a message from Rachel D[redacted] via Facebook demeaning my husband and I as people and being highly unprofessional, I will also be sending the picture of the communication to FPI management corporate as it was highly unease vary and I do believe that management is not supposed to be contacting tenants outside of regular office hours via social media. As for anyone being aggressive towards any of the office staff this was not the case either, the community director had been screaming at me, throwing out threats saying that I'm not allowed to park in the garage that we clearly pay for and if I did that we were going to be evicted and she actually got in my face and was threatening to get physical and hit me, I have 2 witnesses that saw what occurred on this day and would be more than happy to write statements regarding this, I remained calmed through the whole situation and was told that the manager would not speak with me at all no matter what regarding our apartment, which I know for a fact is not correct as I am on the lease. I would like the daily harassment to stop as it is a concern for the safety of my family and the safety of myself. I would like these matters to be addressed in some way, whether it results in an apology or corrective action taken against the apartment management.Regards,[redacted]

To whom it may concern,
In regards to the complaints that [redacted] has filed against Treetop Apartments, contrary to what was written the staff has been responsive in all matters by following FPI policies. All lease violations are posted with a written notice along with a fee. All...

incidents in which the resident has failed to comply with the lease policies they were given a 10 day lease violation notice along with a notice posting fee. As for the service animals, we comply with all rules about allowing any animal to be on the property with the correct documentation verifying that it is a service/companion animal. All matters concerning mildew in an apartment are immediately taken care of and not taken lightly. We have, as of this date, received no complaint of moisture or mildew in the residents leased premises documented in work orders or their file. We will gladly look into the issue the resident has about the complaints of mildew whenever they will allow us access into the premises. As for all other matters addressed in the complaint, parking is allowed in handicap spaces with a placard or sticker, which the resident pointed out in their complaint. All matters are handled professionally in the office and when a resident has become aggressive towards staff members, they are asked to return to the office when they are calmed down. We will gladly speak to any leaseholder at anytime as long as they are being respectful and not cussing, yelling or threatening us.
