Response: We towed this customer's vehicle to our shop to repair a driveshaft problem that the customer ended up deciding not to repair after allIt stayed on our lot for a minimum of months with no communication from the customer (his phone number had been disconnected.) In the process of his
car being at our business for so long, we misplaced his keysI take full responsibility for losing his keysWe were able to replace the ignition switch to get him a key to start the carWe removed the door lock and took it to a local locksmith and then to the Ford dealer, with no luckThey said it was too old of a vehicle and they did not have the supplies(1995) I explained this to the customer but he demanded that I pay $to have a key madeI finally found a place in Bowling Green that can make a keyWhen he gets his car running he is going to bring it back to our shop and we are gonna take the lock to Bowling Green and have him a key madeSince this incident, we have spoken many times and "it's all good!"
