Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have reviewed the company's response to my rebutal I just want to clarrify the discount they gave us on our chair wasn't given because of the problems we had with the dresser we purchased before We were told we were being given a discount because we were repeat customers Also, this is not an attempt to get an additional discount I could care less about a discount, I just want furniture that isn't scratched up! After reading Treehouse's response, it is obvious we will not agree on this issue So, what happens now? I really just want to make sure that this company has this complaint filed against them so that future potential buyers are aware of their practices and maybe think twice before visiting Treehouse Kids Thanks, ***

I am very sorry, but we were very clear on the terms of the transaction as a floor model purchase which is stated on their order At no time, were they told they were getting stock items It was tagged as a floor model as a 3-piece set and [redacted] asked if we could separate the bookcase from the purchase and just buy the crib and dresser so we did as a courtesy I separated the group and the matching bookcase is still for sale on the floor The customer stated that they had saw that we were having a Year End Floor Model Sale posted on our website and wanted to see what was available when they were first greeted at the store [redacted] asked for an additional discount on the special order chair since they had issue with their dresser the first time and was buying with us again She was given the additional discount on her chair purchase as a token of our appreciation as, then proceeded to ask for additional markdowns on the floor model clearance price of the furniture which we could not go any lower on Since we were not able to offer any additional markdowns on the floor model crib & dresser furniture, this is an attempt to get an additional discount A copy of their signed receipt is being sent to the Revdex.com office We have ordered touch up which will be sent to them upon receipt at the store.Kindest Regards,Samantha ###-###-####

It is evident from Tree House Kids' response that their poor customer service continues. The owner of this shop continues to insist she said one thing while my husband and I heard her say something completely different! Samantha at Treehouse Kids says that on the receipt we signed it says all floor models sales are final. We did in fact sign the receipt however, from what Samantha said we were not getting an "actual" floor model (she said the one we would be getting was in stock in the back), so of course we would sign off regarding the actual floor model sales final. Since we had wanted to buy something out of the box and this wasn't possible, (ours was in the back in a box), we told her right then and there that we would not settle for any flaws in the furniture this time. We bit our tongue a little with the last purchase we made with this company and wanted it to be known upfront our expectations this time. You would think with us saying this upfront she would have said this was not possible because all floor model sales were final but she said nothing of the sort. One side note, I'm not sure how you can say all sales are final for items that are being delivered. I understand if you take an actual floor model with you that what you see is what you get. However, if a floor model looks one way when it is purchased and then is scratched up during delivery, how can that be at the buyers expense? Perhaps this is what happened. I cannot say for sure since we did not look over the floor model furniture closely since we were getting furniture that was in the back in a box. When I went into the store after the furniture had been delivered, I specifically told Samantha that there was a scratch on top of the dresser as well as marks on the bed. I had a third party with me during that visit (my interior decorator), that can attest to me saying this. After sitting there listening to Samantha and I arguing, this person commented on how difficult doing business with Treehouse Kids seemed to be. They do not care about pleasing the customer at all and obviously don't listen carefully to customer's complaints! In regards to why we continued with our special order chair, the only reason we continued with that order was because it was already placed (we placed it when we purchased the other nursery furniture) and also because that was the only place we knew of to order that chair. It is most definitely not because we want to do business with Treehouse Kids!Lastly, in Samantha's response to our complaint she states that the drawer alignment on our dresser purchased several years ago was adjusted. It was adjusted but never fixed. To this day it still catches every time you pull out the drawer. We were not happy with their "adjustment" and that's why our gut told us to avoid this business this time. We obviously should have listened to our gut! Samantha also states that a discount was given to keep the "repaired" dresser. I do not remember ever receiving a discount. Does she have signed documentation of this?In summary, we do not feel it is our responsibility to pay for a brand new "unflawed" bed and dresser. That is what we thought we were getting from the beginning and it is Treehouse Kids' responsibility to deliver on those expectations. If they need to eat the cost difference to get us new furniture then that is what they should do. If they are would prefer to send the touch up paint and give us a partial refund that is acceptable too.Sincerely,*** ***

Copy of Customer's Receipt indicating Floor Model Clearance Sale Any Questions, Please call ###-###-#### Regards Samantha

Thank you for bringing this to our attention However, after reviewing the customer's purchase again, it clearly states on their receipt and acknowledgement from their signature that they were purchasing floor models at a 35% discount and all sales are final on the floor model discounts
The customer specifically asked to purchase something out of the box so they could see it first hand The floor models are sold as is and any scratches or defects are not covered under any replacement warranty She requested the crib be replaced but the dresser was fine The customer's wife came back into the store after their delivery to discuss and I reviewed this with her again and reviewed their receipt with her We told her that we would re-order the crib if she would rather purchase it as brand new and pay the difference or we can send her touch up paint for the crib at no charge Tuesday the Husband, *** *** stopped in to discuss again Mr*** then proceeded to say there were defects on both the crib and dresser after his wife said the dresser was fine I reviewed the same information with him and the same resolution was offered to replace the crib if they would like to pay the difference The dresser will not be replaced as his wife had stated earlier that the dresser was fine He said he would discuss it with his wife and get back to us I can fax a copy of their signed receipt over to the office The customer had also selected a glider to order while in the store and is currently on special order so they must like continuing to do business with us In reviewing the document from their dresser purchase several years ago was also for a discontinued item, the customer received this item new in the box and the drawer alignment was adjusted This paticular model could not be replaced with the same item since they purchased a discontinued item, so a discount was given to keep the dresser and it was repaired The customer accepted the agreement. If you have any additional questions, please contact me at ###-###-####.Kindest Regards,Samantha J***
