TreeHuggers Tree Planting Reviews (2)

I purchased 25 spruce trees from this company and paid extra for a one year warranty. I followed all the directions for care of the trees, eleven of the twenty five trees died. After numerous phone calls and messages left I was finally able to get a hold of the guy and he said he would replace them next time he was in the area. He has never shown up and I have tried numerous more times to get a hold of him also left messages and have had no response. [redacted]. The last message I left I reguested that if he is not going to replace the trees then reimburse me for the warranty that I paid for, which he didn't honor, as usual there has been no response.[redacted]Desired SettlementI would like to be reimbursed. I paid $5.00 per tree for warrantyBusiness Response [redacted] I told Mr. [redacted] we would replace the dead trees if possible. The warranty was voided because the entire area from Medicine Hat, Alt, to Mosse Jaw, Sk. and from the US border to approx Rosetown, Sk was declared a drought area by Environment Canada and Environment Saskatchewan, I might add that some area were declared a disaster zone. I also contacted the City of Swift Current and the Village of Climax and this information was alos confirmed by them. Our warranty clearly states that the warranty is void in the event of a drought or flood. Every plant is different, some live, some die, some are stonger than others. there is no way of telling whoich will live or die. its a plant.. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)A drought in Maple Creek is irrelavant. I live just outside Swift Current. The average rainfall for Swift Current for the summer is 193.2mm that is from June 1st to Sept 30. For the summer of 2015 Swift Current received 200.4mm of rain, just slightly above average this info is right off environment Canada's website. No drought here, and as I said before the instructions for the care of the tree's was followed. [redacted] As stated before I want to be reimbursed for the warranty I paid which was not honour.Final Business Response [redacted] attached is a report from Agriculture Saskatchewan which shows how much rain was received in the Swift Current Area from April to the end of July. I have shown evidence of a serious drought in that area [redacted]

Complaint[redacted] We bought 102 spruce trees with a one year warranty. He said he would plant them all him self but I drilled all the holes for him also. We lost 36 trees and he says it was a dry year. We had a drip line to all the trees and watered them regular. He will not answer his phone any more or emails. We paid the extra money for warranty and should be re paid for all the dead trees. We paid Tree Huggers 4080.00 for 102 trees. Desired Settlement We are looking to get money back for the 36 trees we lost. 1440.00 would be the amountBusiness Response [redacted] The warranty for these two complaintents was voided because they removed the trees from their planted site. Our warranty clearly states that the warranty is void if the trees are moved or removed dead or alive.
