In response to the complaint filed against Trend Manufacturing Company on 6/30/2016, it is our position that the customer’s statement correctly identifies the situation with a few notable exceptions- May 10th: After we
reported to *** on May 10th that the customer’s sink had been slightly chipped during installation, it is my understanding from our Account Manager that she was told that the store was going to reorder the sink and advise us when the replacement sink had arrived Unfortunately, ten (10) full days passed until we were notified by the store that it was not possible for them to reorder the sink for us, and that we would have to take the necessary steps to source the sink. May 20th: Upon realizing that the sink had never been ordered, our Account Manager had a conversation with the homeowner and advised her that we had made arrangements to purchase the sink through our plumbing wholesaler which would result in an approximate five (5) week lead time. I am told by the Account Manager that the homeowner “seemed” fine with the additional lead time for a replacement sink, and therefore we placed an order with Wholesale Plumbing Supply for the replacement sink. June 30th: Both I and our Account Manager had conversations with the homeowner regarding the status of the sink which was due to us the following week (the week of July 4th). Unfortunately, the sink was delayed by Kohler beyond the original five (5) week anticipated lead time. On this date, I also checked with *** online and had a conversation with the store about obtaining the sink faster in order to take care of the customer, but was told that it would take approximately two weeks. We researched several vendors for this sink, and in every case the lead time was at least two weeks from order date. July 8th: I followed up with the Plumbing Supply Company today and was told that the sink has finally arrived and will be delivered to us on Monday July 11th. The final countertop and sink installation has been scheduled with the customer for Friday July 15th. We certainly apologize for the inconvenience to the customer, and will work diligently to bring this matter to closure
