Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was told verbally and so were 3-4 other people that their cars were not covered under warranty when in fact the cars were they all told us 10 years and they will not admit or fix their mistake trusting the dealer ship we used we believed them and now they refuse to fix their mistake and because they messed up their paper work and not including that I asked abot rust corrosion warranty in the note on my car I have to eat their mistake.. I also have proof they covered someone's car who was out of warranty but they can't admit they denied me and 3 other people of the warranty when the cars were covered I just want them to take responsibility for their staffs mistake and fix the car I shouldn't have to come out of pocket because they can't do their jobs right

I have a record of [redacted] visit.  See attached.  The first attachment is her signed work order.  I have no record of a rust complaint.  This was her first visit to our dealership.  The second attachment is the technicians diagnostic sheet listing work that is needed on...

her car. (This mentions nothing about rust).  I reviewed this with Ms. [redacted] when she was here 09/13/2016.  If I had some type of documentation I could appeal this with Volkswagen.  She has contacted Volkswagen also and they are currently reviewing it.  I have also provided them with her documents.  Volkswagen pays the dealership for a rust warranty.  It is in both of our best interests to attempt to get this covered through the Volkswagen Corrosion Warranty. At this time there is nothing further that Trend Motors can for [redacted] regarding the Volkswagen Corrosion Warranty.

My name is [redacted] and I am the General Manager at Trend Motors. I have not been contacted by you and I am not aware of this situation until reading your complaint. I will look into this problem this morning and respond back to you. Please don't hesitate to call me and if I am unavailable please...

leave a message with a number to contact you. I am confident that we can work together to resolve this. Thank you [redacted]General ManagerTrend Motors

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The issue of the windshield WAS resolved - a new windshield was installed on 1/3/2017. It was not a VW windshield, and it is shameful how the customer service only improved after I contacted the Revdex.com. These employees need training on respectful and courteous treatment of customers and what the meaning of "integrity" is.

Review: I took my car to Trend motors because my oil light came on well before I was in need of an oil change. This is about the 5th time I've had this issue. The two people I spoke to were John and Jason. Jason called to tell me that it was a software update and the issue was resolved. However, he warned me that my car was in desperate need of front and rear brakes. That my read brakes were "metal on metal" and my front brakes had "1mm of padding" and that "in about 3000 miles they'd be metal on metal too". I told him I'd pick up the at anyway. Upon picking up, I found out they wanted $115 for the software update. (Crazy!!). Moreover, upon taking my car to a mechanic for an estimate on brakes, I was told I had zero need for brakes, and plenty of pAdding. I was also told that my car had a sensor which would alert me when brakes were in need of repair. Liars!

Review: I work for [redacted] Laboratories in Elmwood Park, NJ. My company employs over 5000 people in the area, many of whom need vehicles for business use. That is why the company has a special pricing program with Volkswagen. This relationship allows me access to discounted pricing on vehicles. When I brought this to the attention of the Sales Rep, [redacted], at Trend Motors in Rockaway, NJ he immediately assured me that he would beat the pricing that [redacted] VW was offering me. I came to our meeting with the figure for the exact vehicle that I was looking to obtain that was provided to me by the dealer in Fair Lawn, NJ that I acquired previously. This made my decision easy, as I always prefer to support hometown businesses whenever possible. At this point, we no longer were negotiating price as I assumed this was already taken care of. The sales rep and his manager, [redacted], kept making comments about being on the phone verifying the pricing. They even asked me about my employer details as if they were again verifying the pricing program that applied to [redacted] Laboratories. When the contract was presented at the end, the Financial Rep, [redacted], explained away the difference in price from the agreed upon pricing as including sales tax, warranties, etc. However, upon further review this does not seem to be the case. at all. The sales rep did not honor a verbal agreement made and then misrepresented a contract that is purposefully deceiving. I have still not received an answer as to where figures on the contract came from.Desired Settlement: I contacted this business multiple times asking for information and requesting a refund for the down payment I made, which is the difference between the verbal agreement and the contract, $3000. At this point, they will not return my messages therefore I felt it necessary to contact your organization. Please help me to resolve this.

Response:

Dear Mr. [redacted],

I'm in receipt of your complaint and have discussed this matter with my General Sales Manager, as well as the employees involved. After careful review, it appears that the pricing honored was accurate though there may have been, according to your letter a misunderstanding regarding the final price. I would like to invite you in to meet with myself as well as my General Sales Manager to review line by line the contract and resolve this matter together so we can proceed in good standing with one another.

Sincerely,

General Manager

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I am not looking to review paperwork. I am looking to reconcile the fact that the pricing we discussed is not reflected in the paperwork. I had a number on paper when I arrived at the dealership that was $5000 off the MSRP. I was told that Trend Motors would beat this pricing provided to me by the other dealership. When I inquired that the pricing was high on the lease paperwork before signing, I was told that taxes, fees and warranties were added which drove the price up to approximately 33,000. However, after further review of the contract these additional costs were again added on top of the 33,000 bringing the total to up around 38,000 for this vehicle.

I am still seeking a monetary settlement of at least $3000 to reconcile the difference in pricing. No matter how long I sit down with the general manager of Trend Motors he wont be able to point out on the contract where this pricing started at $5000 below MSRP. If the sales rep wasn't able to do this, I don't see how the general manager, that wasn't involved on the deal, would have this ability.

I am looking for the general manager to step up at this point, use his influence and correct a wrong that was committed through bait and switch negotiations.

Regards,
