Trendy Blinds Reviews (%countItem)

Dear Sir or Madam,
I purchased the blinds for all windows of my house back in March 2017 including limited lifetime warranty. I was charged $6218.98 for all above mentioned blinds. Per term 2 of the contract the following defects have been considered under lifetime limited warranty.
The following defects have been reported to Trendy Blinds on Feb. 26, 2018 over the phone and via email. Trendy Blinds replied the email on Feb. 28, 2018 and declined the defects and claimed that they are not under warranty and asked me to stop by in their store to show me how to fix the defects. I replied to them at same day and notified them that it contraries with the term of the contract and they have commitment to their product under the term of the contract and need to come and take a look. Trendy blinds replied on March 02, 2018 and declined. Per term 2 of the attached contract, Trendy Blinds is deviating from Limited Lifetime Warranty.
1- Honeyshade Blinds as shown in attached photo has been stretched toward down and it's about to broken at upside. Trendy Blinds claims that it's normal for this type of blinds that is totally wrong since the other similar blind doesn't have this issue. Also, Trendy Blinds suggested to reverse the blind to balance the stretch!!! This approach is not possible at all due to the type of the blind. The low quality of material has caused this issue.
This issue should be fixed under term 2 of the contract that clearly says ? Trendy Blinds warrants against defects in material and workmanship up to lifetime.
2- The cord of another blind is ripped and is about to broken. This defect is covered under warranty (term 2 of the contract) that clearly states ? Trendy Blinds warrants Lifting assembly (all clutches, cords, and handles) for 3 years from shipping date from factory/workshop.
Trendy blinds declined the warranty coverage of this defects and offered extra charge for repair/replace!
3- The fabric of a few Combi shades has been drifted and make it difficult to open/close.

Desired Outcome

Repair Due to limited character in Complaint Description, I need to add some justification on item 3. This issue should be covered under Lifetime warranty, term 2 of the contract, that states 'Other components including fabric are warranted for 1-year and product must be properly installed'. I'd be very grateful if you could kindly look into the above mentioned with requesting Trendy Blinds to repair/replace them per term of the contract.

See attached 3 photos:

There is no photo of any ripped shades and when we spoke to him, he never mentioned anything about ripped shades.

1) Honeycomb shade - what is shown in the photo is normal and it is the nature of such category of shades due to gravity. Please note that all honeycomb shades from all manufacturers (including ***) show that, and base on our experience representing multiple manufacturers, they will not accept that as a warranty issue. From the first day of installation this is how the shade appears. It is more noticeable with blackout honeycomb shades because the material is heavier then light filtering honeycomb shades.

2) Combi shade - fabric slightly shifted: It is simple to shift the fabric back by hand gently. We can demonstrate how if you come to our showroom. Alternatively see point 4) below.

3) Cord - as clearly shown in your photo, the cord is not broken. If you want the cord to be replaced, then the manufacturer will have to charge you parts, labour and shipping as there is no valid warranty claim base on current state. Should the cord break in future, due to no fault of the user, we can replace it then. As of now, we cannot claim any warranty issue with the manufacturer as it will be rejected.

4) Please review clause 11 in contract: if you would like us to make a service trip, there is a charge, which is standard practice from all retailers of window coverings.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thanks for the update. The above mentioned explanations from business owner are completely against the warranty as specified in item 2 of the receipt.
With respect to item 1 (Honey shades), the business owner installed three more Honey shade in my house and they are not the same as the one that has been damaged due to low quality of material. If business owner claims that it's normal, why it didn't happen to the rest of the same shades?
Business owner extra charge claim to repair the shade that are under warranty is not acceptable since the repair of the products under warranty should be free of charge; otherwise, it can't be called warranty. I paid more than $6000 for these shades including warranty.
The response from business owner didn't convince me and I'm still requesting Trendy Blinds to be committed to their products warranty and fix the issues.

Regards

We have reviewed all photo evidence you have submitted and see no defect or damage for any manufacturer warranty claims. If you have any new evidence to submit, come to our showroom to present as per clause 4 in the contract. However, as a limited time favour to you, we can send an installer to your house to try to address your "concerns". If you are willing to accept this arrangement, then come speak to us directly to arrange. Otherwise there is nothing further we can do and we can meet in court.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Trendy Blinds technician came in today and just replaced the broken cord; however, the Honey Blinds issue remained as is, Trendy Blinds technician just rotated the blinds topside down which doesn't resolve the issue, also, this new orientation is not the proper way that blinds to stand and not easy to be operated. Trendy blinds technician inspected the other similar blinds in house which stands normal and he confirmed that the above mentioned blinds stretched towards down.
In summary, the issue was not resolved on Honey Blinds.
Would be grateful if proceed the case.

Best Regards
