Reply to [redacted] I received message from [redacted] on 8/with the attached picture she was unhappy with her hair color [redacted] asked for a silver ombré which means leaving it dark at the scalp a couple inches down at leastI was dealing with hair that had several inches of new growth with a level red on the rest from 2/22/Which means I had to lighten the natural hair and remove the red then add the dark and silverI had no idea what she was wanting when the appointment was scheduledI allowed hours on my schedule and with it needing a double processing ***’s appointment ran me into my next appointmentThe total process took 3.5-hoursThe charge was $which included a haircut and styled at the end I was out of state at the time of the message at a funeral, I asked if she would call the salon to schedule an appointment to redo the color she was unhappy with at no chargeWhen I returned from my trip I never looked to see if [redacted] scheduled or notI got a message 8/to “never mind“ I offered again to fix it9/ [redacted] messaged me she was cutting her hair off( I can’t fix color if she has it cut off).I thanked her for letting me know, again9/ [redacted] messaged again about being upset that her hair was breaking and dryThen told me her or any other members of her family won’t be back I again offered to help in some way 9/received a message again from [redacted] she now wants her money backI didn’t respond because I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle thisIt has always been my policy to NEVER return money I will re-color provide them with the best quality shampoo and conditioner and conditioner treatments at NO COST to them, but if I can’t get the client to return to the salon for me and my staff to evaluate the problem I can’t fix anythingI do not have it stated any where that I will refund your money if not satisfiedIn this case I am a deep thinker when I make decisions concerning things in my salonThe lack of response was me still thinking on how the best way to handle the situationOn 9/ [redacted] messaged again that since there was no response she would handle itI did receive a bad review on my Salons [redacted] *ageI feel I was willing to fix the problem but was never given the opportunity

I am sorry ***ela *** finds no resolveI CAN NOT give refund without seeing the hair and determining the condition and the problem the color process occurredIf *** would have returned to the salon I could have resolve the problem at no costsI have been a hair dresser for years and NEVER been asked for a refundI have recoloured, repermed, and recut several including her mother I can not give refunds or I would need to close the doorsNo business would give a refund without see the problemAlso another stylist took the appointment and had no idea of what I was dealing with for timeingThey did not know her to realize her hair was red previously and that it hadn’t been colored since February Normally the color is maintained every weeksI feel bad this has been taken to this point but there is nothing I can do

this is in reguards to my recent complaint [redacted]  my response to her reply is as such, first she lied she was well aware of what I wanted when apt was scheduled, they always ask  so they know how much time you need. so that was a blatant lie..if there wasnt enough time then why do it. second, I was never told nor did I see such a sign stating no refunds she admits this in her reply. 3rd when I first sent her the pick asking for more silver color I hadnt washed it yet to understand the damage, after I washed it I realized it was white and burnt it actually curled up my hair thats when I decided no more chemicals.. when someone damages your hair which is a part of your body you no longer trust them to touch it again and it takes 2-3 weeks to get an apt there, I needed help right away..it seems we are at an impass because I have since gone to another salon they were shocked at the damage to my hair, and had 3 more inches of my hair cut off and conditioned and this is just the beginning of the process to bring my hair back to a healthy state..which has cost me another 20 dollars and 20 dollars a month until all the damaged hair is gone. she obviously believes that the 70 dollars I paid is more important than a return customer and other referred family and friends. its a shame becuase my mother had gone there for many yrs and also myself and my daughter and grand daughter for a couple yrs. I just hope she doesnt do this process on anyone else, I have since learned that it takes several apts to slowly lighten the hair before coloring in order to not cause damage. enclosed is a recent picture of my first hair repair treatment, to compare. I had hair to the middle of my back, she cut some then the new salon cut some, this is what I have left.
